Okay I know they have different sim cards. Well which one is the one for HSPA+ PHONES like this phone? Cause I called and complained about data speeds and they sent me a new one. Its different that what I have currently. [/IMG]

That's the new one they sent me. My current one which I got orginaly from the LG thrill is the one I got now its blue at the top and white at the bottom.

Did your data speeds improve with the new Sim card?

I can't really answer your question. The one I have is over a year old. I just went from the Captivate to the SGSII over the weekend and they actually didn't give me a new Sim card. However, my download speeds a are twice what they were on my Captivate, obviously because of the 4G.

The old blue and white one is compatible with regular 3g and hspa+. The new orange and blue one you got is for LTE, but it will work in non LTE phones. I switched from the old one to the new one recently and have not experienced any increase in data speeds

the 8 or 9th, or 9th & 10th,can't recall without looking tho, are 2 5.. so if right around there you see a 25 then you have a 4g sim card.

That is a 4G card, I didn't specify but by 4G I meant LTE.. notice the 25. Faux G, AKA HSPA+ doesn't need a new sim card, a 3G will work just the same.

sim card will not make a difference in data speed.
I had an old "At&t 3G" Sim Card and couldn't connect to the HSPA+ "phone" apn, would only connect to "wap.cingular". After a good hour on the phone with At&t and the rep "provisioning" my plan for "4G" nothing worked. Went to the at&t store and got a new Sim Card and that allowed me to connect to the "phone" apn.

My old sim looked like the one Red5 attached

And my new one looks like the one the OP had in his xperia

To the OP i'd recommend blurring your phone number on your first pic...
