So, people with the Skyrocket that areent in an LTE area, still seem to get double the H+ speeds than our device gets... is that due to using a newer LTE/H+ sim card? Has anyone else used a newer LTE/H+ sim card and gotten any better speeds?

By using the newer LTE/H+ blue/orange sim card, can we use the Skyrocket APN?

I got one of the newer sim cards and I can get up to 7.5Mbit down and 1.5Mbit up when the network is not being actively used in my area. Pings times are usually 120ms or below.

Ive been all over California and I can hit anything over 6.5. Usually its about 3-4.

I got a new sim when I got my gs2 and it is orange and blue just like your new one. When I asked the rep about it, I also had seen the old ones that say 4g, he said its the same sim card but they just changed the graphics. I can prove I get up to 10.5 megs over night while im at work. I would just pop it in and don't worry about it unless you get horrible speeds.

New sim card was just delivered to my house. Now I just have to get off work in another hour and get home to try it out. Im curious to see if there are any changes at all.

I've had the new sim card in my phone for about 17 hours now. I have seen a slight network increase, but that could be due to network congestion so Im not really going to say "YA ITS MUCH BETTER".

However, I have seen a significant increase in signal. At home, a few stores, dinner and now at work, all have been at least 1 bar higher (some 3 bars higher). Id say thats a significant increase in cellular reception.

Anyways, for a free sim card, Id say that I came out ahead. I may not have any better speeds, but Ill gladly accept a stronger signal.

I hear that the micro sims are the same as our sims but with the plastic cut off from around the edges to make it smaller.
This is accurate. You can buy an adapter that makes a micro sim the same size as a regular one and use it in any phone including our SGS2s
