Different system for XZ?

After reading this:

I was wondering if its true that now its way easier to install other system on our xperia(and any other xperia)
I get info that it would be possible to even install Ubuntu Touch on it... that sound really cool... but its true?

What do you think about it?

This just means that it will be easier to install/update a custom recovery and it will remain independent of any rom you flash. It doesn't make it any easier to flash custom roms as such and will almost certainly require a bootloader unlocked device.

I talked to jerpelea about that several weeks ago, he said that our device will not get the new bootloader, so don't get your hopes up. Besides, our recovery-in-boot arrangement doesn't make things (neither Ubuntu Touch, nor MultiROM, Firefox OS/B2G or whatever) impossible, we just need some dirty hacks. By the way, I have been thinking of cooking something similar for our Sony Xperia Z too... But I can't promise anything as of now, as I really don't have a lot of time these days.
