I'm using ob15 with the latest weekly. I tried ob16 at first and all seemed well but I found that camera apps displayed green. I then flashed ob15 and my camera apps worked again.
Pointless? Would you find that G+ post easily without the link? Why overcomplicate when you can just help others by linking?
No offense, but pointless is to keep repeating the same thing over and over again even after Alex saying that it's OK to post links to DU's download server (it seems that I wasn't wrong after all).
This 'situation' is easy to understand: The DU team is not happy with XDA. They don't want to have official threads here. They will not accept that people claim to be maintainers when that's not true. They are fine with discussion threads like this and they are fine with links to the official server.
In other words, all the "this thread will be closed" and "device support will be drop if you link" makes no sense.
By the way, the OP2 "mdf" created mirrors, which is completely different from linking to the official server / builds.
It's impossible to say which one is better, after all what is good for me may not be good for you. We do and expect different things from our phones. You have to flash it and see which one you prefer.
DU has more features and an interesting community around it. Sultan's ROM is basically a "stable" and battery optimised LineageOS.

Yes, I go through Dirty Unicorns. It has some customization more than LineAge. Nothing important.
I didn't check it, but perhaps it hasn't some features LineAge has like double tap to wake and some others? I'm not sure, I only read this in this thread that it will get this features now.
I don't know, how performance and battery life compares with sultan's ROM.
I always find this difficult to measure and have no time for that.
Here are so many ROMs and I installed different ones and they look very similar and I always see the same features, but nothing important.
So perhaps LineAge with sultan kernel is a good choice, but I always think about trying new things. It's a time wasting addiction. :silly:

went from OB16 to weekly builds, i'm really impressed with the smoothness and stability of this rom. To me it's like the old CM, stable , fast , and simple customization.

Yes I did.
I dirty flash (all overlay disabled) and substratum always force close. But all I need to do is uninstall and reinstall. After that, no issue.

Yes charging works but when i unlock the phone while dash charging i get sys ui fc, but only when using dash charging.
I wanna know what you people use for your kernel settings for a good balance between battery and performance

I personally use blu_spark governor with fast lane enabled and and threshold 35 and maple with 4096 kB readahead. Rest is stock
