If the kernel is based on cm then it will have issues with DU.He is rebasing caesium kernel to oreo (cm15.1 by dianlujitao), I think the next update should work even better
He said that it will not work in DU Oreo for encrypted users and some roms will have problems with screen modes. We will see:good:If the kernel is based on cm then it will have issues with DU.
The issue with being compatible with most is that most roms are just kitchen sink roms. Made with bases from Los and a bunch of cherry picks. DU makes is a point not to use any cm commits and won't touch their kernel commits. He said that it will not work in DU Oreo for encrypted users and some roms will have problems with screen modes. In the past he has always made the kernel as compatible as possible (NOS, Omni, LOS,...)

That's why we don't need a custom kernel with DU:good:The issue with being compatible with most is that most roms are just kitchen sink roms. Made with bases from Los and a bunch of cherry picks. DU makes is a point not to use any cm commits and won't touch their kernel commits.
I still use one for dt2w which is broken in the currant kernel. Heck it's the only kernel option I use lolThat's why we don't need a custom kernel with DU:good:
At the moment I'm really good with Nougat, will try DU 12 when I switch rom next time
In the past, I always use dt2w. Once I know how convenient it is using fingerprint reader, I never use dt2w anymore.I still use one for dt2w which is broken in the currant kernel. Heck it's the only kernel option I use lol

Yes it support substratum , but as I read earlier March security patch has an issue with substratum, you need to restart the phone to properly apply itOne thing I am missing, black theme. Does DU still support Substratum?
