Disable Edge Panel?

On a rooted edge is it possible to disable the edge screen completely? I'm considering buying an edge solely because of the looks I don't really care for the functionality of the edge screen so I just want to check if that can be disabled in anyway before I buy it.

If you get an edge that can be rooted. Then do so and get a custom rom. There are plenty of ported note 4 roms around for the edge that will disable the edge functionality or even turn it into a s6 edge.where you have some functions still there..

Disable edge feature

Ive found that if you go to application manager and disable the "cocktailbar service" , it will disable the edge
(requires a reboot to show the changes) and to get back your edge features just re enable the service and reboot
