Any way to disable (release) HSDPA/HSUPA like on Samsung ROMs via secret codes? Using 3G instead of HSDPA saves a hell of a lot of battery!
Even going down to 2G (GSM) suffices for exchange push sync or any mails for that matter.

Settings -> wireless and networks -> mobile networks -> network mode -> GSM only.

This way it will enable just 2g, as 4g is just a push up of 3g.

In short you can not just get 3g.

Either 2g or 4g.

What you get is

3G+HSDPA
OR
3G+(HSPA+)

The phone should automatically switch to 3G when idle to save power ... Mine does pretty quickly

mine doesnt switch automatically.. it does ONE TIME. but after reboot, it's just constant H. ( yes I do have separate H and 3g icons in my framework)

thanks all for replying!
i don't have the 4G model, the fastest network we have is 3G/HSDPA 21.6mbps

actually let me test how the phone battery holds up with "H" before i try switching to "2G"...

thanks again!
