After it was discovered that Google Chrome itself automatically without your knowledge closes tabs (see. "feature" Enable tab discarding), and the searching results for the same keyword(s) in different tabs may differ, I have decided to freeze the updates of the browser, stopping its evolution on "jubilee" 50th version... %-(

A few days ago I decided to scratch the hidden settings chrome://flags
Disabling, maby, 30% of them has no affect on browser performance in my case.

For example the function omnibox (animated address bar), in my opinion, nothing but like a twenty-fifth frame. This feature, by the way, can not be disabled. But you can cut down the javascript, on the basis of which it operates. If you add in AdBlock blocking rule substring "*xjs*", then it will 100% get rid of the annoying "search suggestions" features. I am using it on practice for a while and it looks like everything works fine and does not affect the performace of google.com site and the rest of the sites.

upd: AdBlock xjs rule may actually affect on displaying of some of the search results of Images section.

Fine tune Google Chrome

My question is how can I disable omnibox?
I still take no advantage of this feature and wanna get rid of it.
Does anyone knows any actual method to disable it?
