Disabling Google Tracking

So Google tracks cell phones wherever they go even when airplane mode is on (so I assume even when wifi, any cellular service and location services are off too). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0G6mUyIgyg

This may be old news, this topic may have been covered (but I cannot find it) and it's probably better for a more general forum. However, I would still like to know if Google's tracking service(s) can be uninstalled/disabled on an unlocked/rooted E4 while still leaving location services partially intact because I'd still like to be able to use maps etc. ?

Only if you flash a rom without gapps. And use microG instead of full Google services. It's a process. But doable
