Help me please !!

To NUT & experienced users:

I am nearly hopeless with my sony Z. So i hope to get some useful advances.
- First, my Sony Z ran 2.67 stock rom (rooted and had recovery) and it worked so well.

- Then, i downloaded "eXistenZ v4.3.5 | Ultra Edition | 10.3.1.A.2.74 | FULL HONAMI" modded rom of niaboc79 and installed it in recovery.
(may be the thing i forgot that the rom of niaboc79 based on 2.74 - but i wondered how much it related to? ). After installed, i rebooted as usual, but the issue was happening. My phone turned off immediately after appearing the Sony logo, and this issue has been happening so many times.

- After that, I tried to flash 4.3 Commercial & Journalist through the latest version (of course with installed adb drivers). When it's done, my phone turned on and worked normally, but it continued to turn off when i was syncing my contact, mail. And the issue happened again and again.

Now, it just appear the sony logo and then turn off immediately, although i put it in charge almost half of day and then try to flash back to 2.67 or 4.3 commercial journalist or even 4.2 .433 generic UK rom. I don't know what to do now.

I haven't unlocked my bootloader till now. And i tried to save it by the way using SUS like u said above, but when i complete all steps, it just appear the sentence "no new update software is available to ur phone, ur phone have had the latest version...".

When i put my phone in charge, it still has a red light but the issue also happen, appearing the sony logo and then turn off ....

What i have to do with my phone now? any opportunities ? or ... ?

Hope to receive ur advances now, i am so serious.

I think ur issue and mine are the same .. just hanging the sony logo and then reboot automatically (again & again) till it goes out of battery and give us a red light when u try to put it in charge, right ?

There should be a repair option in that screen, offering you to flash the update anyway but with loss of all contents... try that, maybe you will get lucky :)

isn't repairing with SUS same as flashing with flashtool with full wipe ? friend of mines phone suddenly started doing the same as above (loop on a Sony logo). He hasn't done any modifications to his phone such as root or unlock bootloader.. Asked him to flash a ROM with flashtool but still looping at Sony logo

Both yes and no: yes, it basically is the same, no because it will download your phone's specific customization.

Rebooting is fine it gives three vibrations and shuts down.
Bootloader is locked, i havent rooted the device. This is the first update i've tried.

Any help will be appreciated, i'm at my wits end trying to revive this phone but i just can't seem to understand where i'm going wrong. :(

Is your phone a Z1? if no, your flashing a Z1 rom...

If yes, try flashing another version of the TFT...

Thanks to a user on my 'Update to 14.2.A.0.290' thread for the Z1 I know the answer ;)

Make sure you have Flashtool 0.9.13 and used that to flash it: It is a must for the Z1.

Yes it is a z1, i forgot to mention that, and also using the latest version of fllashtool which you've mentioned. Anyway i will try to flash some other ftf and see if that works. But shouldn't the SUS factory reset fix it?

So i tried flashing another FTF this time C6903 / 14.1.G.1.534_1277-2880_R4A / Global LTE. It finally booted, but it was showing baseband version unknown, and after 3 minutes, it rebooted by itself and went back to the same bootloop. I took out the sim card and tried booting again, but stuck in a boot loop on the sony logo.

Any advice?

Flash the baseband from .290 to get your baseband/IMEI back.

Flash the baseband from .290 to get your baseband/IMEI back.
okay so here is the situation, i've tried other version of FTF but the only one that eventually boots is "14.1.G.1.534_1277-2880_R4A / Global LTE" and that too after a few starting bootloops usually 2 or 3, and then it boots into the system.

I did a quick search for .209 baseband you mentioned, and i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481248

Tried to flash with the flashtool i excluded the kernel and bootbundle but so far still baseband unknown and it reboots after 2 minutes.
Could you tell me how i might get the baseband for .209 that will work, or am i doing something wrong here?

@siavo, flash back that 534 rom and then let SUS repair/update your phone... It probably is the only way to get it working again, though you might lose everything on your phone...
I've just finished trying that as well, after SUS factory reset andupdate it goes to a bootloop. At this point i know all the data is lost, which really doesn't matter, i just want the phone to be working again! So far no luck. I know it can be fixed, since .534 at least somewhat boots. so it isn't a dead phone, but i can't understand what to do now. even .534 starts after a couple of bootloops and restarts.

This would be a good time to bring it back to the shop or a repair centre... Sorry dude :(

I've had the bootloop and the sony logo halt and I've had to play around with flashtool and SUS to get it working again but so far I've been able to continue on. There's been more than a few times where I really messed up and it took a lot of playing around with flashtool and PC Companion but sooner or later I saw the flash of flashtool and the PC Companion recognized and performed a clean install so I could continue on.

Now on 4.3 (569) rooted with LB. This guide's got me to the point where I think as long as it vibrates, I breathe a sigh.

Hey guys,

I think I've killed my Xperia Z, I tried to install the .569 update (flashable zip, rooted [NUT] edition) and afterwards it would boot ok, but then randomly reboot. I then tried to re-flash a stock rom using Flashtool and the same symptoms continued. Then I tried re-flashing omni rom which I was running before hand and it wouldnt even boot (would get to omni rom logo then reboot). Then I tried unlocking my bootloader and re-flashing omni rom + a few other things I cant remember now. I've since tried re-locking the bootloader as well.

Now all it does is boot the Sony logo for 1-2 seconds then reboot (literally flashes Sony on the screen, turns off, red LED, then Sony logo again and reboots)

I've tried flashtool, SUS and Sony PC Companion to flash new roms (flashtool) and repair alll appear to progress fine with no errors at all but upon reboot it just loops as above again.

fastboot still works also, have tried flashing different kernels etc again to no avail :(

Not sure where to go from here, have I killed it?

I fear the part in red is the state my phone is most likely in..

@sigo2oo9, I'm afraid your device is officially ripe for the service center... Unless your battery has depleted and you need a charging dock to revive it, your problems might come from broken flash memory...

That what it currently does has nothing to do with the softbrick you get when relocking a bootloader on a custom kernel... Then it would not even show you the sony kernel logo...
