It simplies backups ALL ur app including those on a2sd partition to a separate folder. And no need to uninstall ur apps just wipe all/factory reset and flash. I recommend u wipe /system too before flashing.

Will factory reset and wiping /system clear all the apps that are present on the A2SD partition in memory card?

I have used Titanium Backup before to backup and restore apps.
My only query is if the A2SD partition is not cleared, the old aps will consume space unnecessarily since during ROM flashing, the memory card is untouched. So there is no way that the apps stored in it are cleared automatically. So how to get rid of those?

> when you use ap2sd script and you flash a new rom without wiping data.. all apps will be left at ext partition.. and eat space.. when you reflash ur ap2sd script al apps from ext partition will be visible and restored.

Then to flash your ROM and retain all apps, what do I do?
Wipe cache and dalvik cache only?

so i had just done a Cache & Dalvik wipe before Flashing 7.1 over 7.
And this is the problem i am facing.

And here are the betterbattery stats.

And this is when i always keep my GPS & The usual location service by google off..
Any ideas?

Even though I am on a different ROM, I also face this problem of GPS Wakelock.
Turn off GPS from settings. Then reboot your phone. Then use your phone normally like you do.
Everytime you use GPS, to shut it down, turn it off from settings and restart your phone.

This is the only way I have managed to get over the GPS Wakelock problem.

By the way, which baseband are you on?

Yes most likely. I am using caf kernel with no GPS wakelock or what so ever

Razr theme(default) and some themes I have problem. My mobile dont complete the call (missing call) always. There is a bug? I dont have problem with lunar theme, gtr muiu v4.

7.1+ flashed and working nice
just one annoying thing i wana point out
the screen gets ON anf OFF every minute ... even though i am not even touching it
any others facing the same issue?

but strange fact is that
when im in office, connected to wifi (with no wifi sleep) ... there is no such issue :|
once i go back home / disconnects the wifi ... screen automatically gets ON ... n OFF
read in the previous post that is a bug from CM7 side ...

This problem(sometimes) usually when star the mobile phone. Screen turn on and off automatically manytimes until stay normal.

Did a full system/data wipe last night
reflashed 7.1
at first there was no "screen ON/OFF" trouble
but took it for a battery charge for (say) 6 hours ... n then ... the trouble starts again
came to office ... connected to wifi ... no probs wat to ever :|
still confused ... what's going on :O
