Sv: [CWM][LB][STOCK] ClockWorkMod 6.0.1.2 for Xperia T/TL/TX/V v2

So, please answer yes or no, will the OTA be broken forever if I install this cwm?
(I have locked bootloader and root).

I will be broked at the moment you install this (or another) recovery and enter it for the first time.

But if you flash a tft through Flashtool OTA update capability will be re-allowed.

So you can: 1. Install CWM, 2. Enjoy your phone, 3. Flash a clean tft when a new OTA update arrives, 4. Make the update, 5. Install CWM again, 6. Recover a data partition previously backed, 7. Keeping enjoying your phone as if nothing had happened.

And so on for new updates.

Hi davidmarco, for some reason I can't get CWM to work on JB .489. If I flash back stock .223 kernel I am able to get into it while on .489 rom.
I've checked the logs and the problem seems to be that the keycheck is not registering anything, i.e. the file /cache/chargemon/keycheck is empty.
So my guess is there's something in the kernel that's preventing
Code:
${CAT} /dev/input/event0 > ${WORKDIR}/keycheck &
${SLEEP} 3

EXECL ${KILL} -9 $!
Might be totally off here but I think it's a good starting point.

Another thing I noticed, on the old ROM, the blue led on boot never worked but it does now, which is a good indication, along with the chargemon.log that the script is being executed.

EDIT: ok did a quick and dirty hack on the chargemon script, commenting out the keycheck condition, and now it boots to recovery! The only problem is that it will keep booting to recovery unless you change back the old chargemon file but that's easily done by flashing the cwm zip again.

But this definitely proves the keycheck is the source of the problem!

it always tells me after installing v2, not v3.
Should we uninstall the prior v2?
Remove CWM with my removal tool, then restart your phone and install CWM v3 again.

It doesn't work on V yet. What phone do you own?
Sorry for not mention that. I'm using V. I'm trying to root with JB unlocked Bootloader and stuck at this step.

I do not own a V, so I can't reproduce the issue. If you could provide some logcat maybe I would be able to provide a solution.

When I attempted to install CWM v3, it proceeds as though nothing is wrong and even says its successful.

First of all sorry to everyone, my time was limited and I could not dedicate the time you deserve.

After some minimal research I discovered that the latest changes in v3 (for compatibility to JB kernels) causes CWM breaking down on ICS kernels. So all those who are in ICS should use v2 and those who are in JB should use v3. New releases will indicate to which kernel affects.
