i installed angry birds and my internal memory drops from 80mb to 68mb. i think my data2sd doesn't work properly.
thanks anyway

Angry birds works differently when you install. Go to settings, applications, manage applications, on SD card, choose angry birds, then click on move to phone. That should free up your internal memory.

FYI, this happens with some games

Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App

Question about Rom Manager can that setting be used on any rom or is it set up just for this one?

It can be used on all ROMS
* You need to be running cLK (with latest patches)
* kernel that supports latest patchs from cLK
* /cache/recovery need to point to the cache mtd device, and the recovery folder in that

and then ROM manager should work

I have set this ROM up such that it works out of the box.

@arif-ali:

Bringing back up the Volume Issue (without complaining, but mayby to improve your ROM, because I really like it):

I just installed the CMYLXGOroms.Stock.Desire.HD.v1.1.9.1n.LITE.Edition-RAFPIGNA.1.9OC_CWM

It´s got the RAFPIGNA.1.9 (Don´t know, which one you use). So far, everything is working perfect. But there is too much crab cooked in, so I´d be really glad if You could find this little bug with the low speaker sound...

I ask because I want to try out your other rom just wanted to see if anything needed to be changed to get it to work thanks bro!

I actually updated the other ROM yesterday, so that should also be up and running as well, as I have been using it for the last few days.

So you won't require any extra configuration for cLK, rom manager etc...

Config.txt

Hi, I have a question about the file Config.txt
I understand this to mean that I must create the file itself and must then move to the SD card.
Must it be on the Ext3 or FAT32 partition?
Can it be copied to the installation there and they will be executed on restart?

Otherwise, I can report that I have updated to version 2.6.2 and have not lost my data.
The ROM is great.

It's the google translator.
I mean, can i copy the config.txt to the sd-card after flashing the rom or must the file on the card before i install the rom?
Greatings m.f.

:)

yeah, that shouldn't be a problem, it will use the default values at first, and when you include the config.txt on, it will do whatever it needs to do.

Be aware that after adding the config.txt, you may see more bootloops, maybe twice

config.txt

I created the file config.txt and pushed onto the SD card.

It has the following contents:
gps_zone = europe
a2sd_mode = app, app-private, Dalvik-cache and data

After a reboot I had the described bootloops.

I can not notice any change in the phone memory.
I have always been free to 20MB.

Also, I now feel that the Handy has been slower.

Should I delete the file again?
What changed them? What is it good?
I thought that are now pushed the data to the SD card.

hi you are wrong here:

"It has the following contents:
gps_zone = europe
a2sd_mode = app, app-private, Dalvik-cache and data"

you have to write :
gps_zone = europe
a2sd_mode = data

and then you will have all this : app, app-private, Dalvik-cache and data

I have to learn about Android much.
I changed it and now I have 100 MB of free phone memory.
Great, I'm very happy.
Thank you.

Speakers

A new problem.:confused:

Again and again, my speakers off.
Only a reboot has it reactivated.

I suspect that it is up to a USB connection.
I believe that the problem only occurs after connecting via USB.

Now I have the 10th once restarted and the sound is eliminated.

So far, I believed that it is a software problem since a reboot to fix the bug.
Can anyone confirm this bug?
Is there a solution?
Is it anything to do with the ROM?

Greetings M.F.

Now I've made 25 determines restarts. No sound!
Then I made a backup in the CWM-menu and then wanted to restore an older backup.
But after a restart, went back to the sound.
I suspect the error synchronization software.
First HTC sync and now MyPhoneExplorerClient.
But is mere conjecture. That reminds me that I use MyPhoneExplorer via USB but not via WiFi. But there is an option in the app off the sound. Maybe because an error in it.
It's crazy because I do not know if it is a hardware error or software error.
Namely unit came straight out of the repair. Plug for defective speakers. Board was probably replaced. I have a new Emainummer, but old housing.

Addendum:
This is indeed quite a radio silence. I now have another run at the ROM (Coredroid) and no problems with the speaker. It seems a bug in the ROM (perhaps in conjunction with a used by my app) to be.
Goodbye here for the first time and am grateful for the assistance thus far.

Yes, radio silence, as I have been away on business trips, I do have a job at the end of the day. It will be quite quiet in the upcoming weeks, as I will be distracted with me being away on further business/customer site trips.

Don't really have a luxury of 2 phones, so that I can continue to test on one and use one for work. I use the same phone for work and android testing

Once back, will look at these bugs

hi !
i can't get this started, i made a clean installation, installed magdlr & cwm 300M (attached in your post) & 2.6.2 of your rom.. i mounted storage in cwm (after partitioniering with cwm) & copied the zip & the config.txt on the root of my sd card (8gb, 1024mb ext3). then i flashed it. every time i got a black dialer skin when i wanted to enter pin (i'm able to enter the pin because i know where the buttons are ) .. i think it is a storage problem, when i want to change my wallpaper there are 19 wallpaper with no preview and if i choose one i got the message "phone storage is full" (or something like that, dont know the exactly words with english language^^)
my config.txt on the root of my sd card :

ppp_mode=0
gps_zone=de
a2sd_mode=data

made i something wrong?
can anybody help me? thanks a lot

    This build is a rework/continuation of MDJ Revolution series

    I started this thread, as there was some demand for this to get updated. If m-deejay decides to update his original build, I will discontinue this build

    Use this at your own risk. I will not be accountable if this causes you phone to fail, or you lose your data. The backup of your data is your responsibility.

    I am a newbie to the android development, so please be patient with fixes and releases; and your help and advice will be appreciated.

    Finally: If you cannot donate, then Click Thanks if you appreciate the build, and all works.

    The new thread for the kernel is HERE

    I have tested an upgrade myself to these releases myself, and have not encountered any problems. But everyones setup is different, the upgrade process may work for you. But would recommend to do a NAND backup before you do. FINALLY, I will not be held responsible if you lose any data.

    If you experience any boot loops, then expect at least 2, please report if you do get this, and what was your process, so that I can understand where the problem is happening.

    DFT releases have been only included for experimental purposes, I will not guarantee that this works.

    The build of this ROM is available here, If anyone wants to have play with this build, then feel free to checkout the repository by running the following command in Linux. This will grab the whole repository onto your machine.

    • Download the attached cLK1.3.3_system_300M_arif-ali.zip or cLK1.3.3_system_250M_arif-ali.zip for SL
    • turn phone on with volume down key, so that it is in SPL
    • install cLK by double-clicking CustomRUU.exe
    • To install recovery download the correct one from post #2 of cLK thread (link above)
    • reboot phone into fastboot by keeping the back key pressed
    • flash recovery by running "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

    How To SL1.4.2 & 2.6.2 (CWM - MAGLDR)

    1. Make sure you have partitioned the SD card correctly (ext partition, and a vfat partition)
    2. Make sure you have followed the ClockWorkMod Howto to add the recovery to the phone (see links in the thanks/credits section)
    3. Download the link above and put it into the vfat partition, maybe in a folder called ROMS
    4. Boot phone into MAGLDR by holding on the Red button/close call
    5. Select AD Recovery (Option 8)
    6. Select Install zip from sdcard
    7. Select choose zip from sdcard
    8. Select the ROM from the SD
    9. Select Yes to install the zip
    10. reboot the phone and enjoy

    How To SL1.4.2 & 2.6.2 (CWM - cLK)

    1. Make sure you have partitioned the SD card correctly (ext partition, and a vfat partition)
    2. Download the link above and put it into the vfat partition, maybe in a folder called ROMS
    3. Boot phone into fastboot by pressing the back key
    4. flash the recovery using "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
    5. reboot phone into cLK recovery by holding on the Home key
    6. Select Install zip from sdcard
    7. Select choose zip from sdcard
    8. Select the ROM from the SD
    9. Select Yes to install the zip
    10. reboot the phone and enjoy

    How To SL1.4 & 2.6 (DFT)

    MAGLDR 1.13 is now required

    1. Connect phone to computer
    2. Reboot phone and press hold the Red (on/off) button, until you get into the MAGLDR menu
    3. Select USB Flasher
    4. Start the DAF.exe application, and press Next until it tries to flash
    5. press green button (call) button on the phone
    6. This will now flash the phone and reboot

    How To SL1.4 & 2.6 (cLK - fastboot)

    1. Connect phone to computer
    2. Reboot phone and press hold the back key, until you get into fastboot
    3. Run "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
    4. Run "fastboot flash system system.img"
    5. Run "fastboot flash userdata data.img"
    6. Run "fastboot reboot"
    7. This will reboot phone, enjoy!!!

    By default app, app-private and dalvik-cache are on the SD card, if you need any other option, then follow the below instructions on what you want

    • data2sd
      Code:
      adb shell a2sd datasd
    • no dalvik on sd
      Code:
      adb shell a2sd nocache
    • remove a2sd completely
      Code:
      adb shell a2sd remove

    After booting into the phone, you need to create the following file on your sdcard, and reboot the phone. Hopefully after this, your phone should work.

    Code:
    /sdcard/clockworkmod/.settings

    with the following contents

    Code:
    {"is_clockworkmod":true,"current_recovery_version":"3.0.1.9","readonly_recovery":false,"recovery_timestamp":1300214577721,"flash_recovery":"flash_image recovery %s ; ","reboot_recovery":"","detected_device":"leo"}

    I will attempt to get this added in the next release

    1. make sure that any app that you do install move it back to the phone, and that will automatically reside on the SD card in the ext2/ext3/ext4 partition
    2. For the Revolution 2.6 you need at least 288 MB in /system, so for EU users you need to flash the CWM build with 300MB /system, you can change the flash.cfg from the ClockworkMod and the change it similar to
      Code:
      system ya 300M
      You can use the attached Recovery_300M.zip instead, which has the files changed, and flash using the attached file.

    • At first/second/maybe third boot You will get a message "Process system is not responding".
      FIX: press the volume up/down key wait 5 seconds, and it will continue to start
    • Occasional low volume

    To Do List / Work in-progress
