Note: Benchmarks dont mean much of anything... but for those that were curious...
Kernal: Abyss Kernel 3.7
ROM: Rocket Rom v22
Clock: 1.66ghz (
OVERCLOCKED)
Governor: Performance for benchmarking, lulzactive/on demand otherwise
Other Notes: things were smooth and battery was ok.. .
(on performance)
Quadrant: ~4900-5000
Passmark: 2,200
Kernal: Franco Kernal #1
ROM: Rocket ROM v22
Clock: 1.4ghz (
NO Overclock)
Governor: On Demand
Quadrant: 5120
Passmark: 2400
Conclusion/Notes so far:
Still need to test for a couple days but here are my initial impressions.
-
Benchmarks: Franco kernal "won" at stock clock speed (@1.4 ghz, on damand)!, when compared to Abyss Kernel Overclocked (@1.66ghz, performance).
-
Battery: I will need more time to evaluate this but in theory Franco's kernel should have better battery life due to it not being overclocked. As for Abyss, its battery life was good considering the overclocked and the slightly compromise in battery life (but was still pretty good).

Real World/Performance/Experience: Abyss Kernel (overclocked) like most overclocked kernel's I've seen, it performs very well and tend to snap/load things faster (obviously). BUT, it seems that Franco Kernel tends to be overall much smoother and seems to not hang/stutter like many overclock kernels tend to do every now and then. Franco's may not load an app the fastest(by .2-.3 seconds, nothing huge) but seems to provide superb fluid transition, responsive and so far hasn't stuttered a bit. Basically the overall experience seems to be much better.
obviously more time is need to get a true sampling/evaluation... but for those that were curious. I definitely recommend, and already seems to be the best kernel (for me anyway)
