What device/rom? Stock or ported camera? How can i reproduce that issue?

I'm on A5ux v7 right now, record a video through your phone's camera and play it. You will hear a weird high pitched sound

@corsicanu It seems like that some J5 users have good battery life on your kernel (like j500fn) but others don't have good (like j500f). Hope you will look into it

Anyway I have some big plans in my mind right now but no time and no money yet to implement them all.. First of all i want to buy a j5 to add proper support. I also want to split kernel sources to device specific and maybe make the kernel again from scratch, hoping to be more compatible with each variant. I also want to make and release my own rom for j5 if i manage to buy a device. Hope to see all done soon.. Cheers!

* R stands for repacked v2.5, since no major things are changed

Changelog:

• fixed private mode mountpoints for roms that support private mode

Special notes:

• Installing different root than you already have may harm your device.
• If you want to change from SuperSU to Magisk make a full unroot from SuperSU app and install the kernel again choosing Magisk
• Apps that require SafetyNet work only with Magisk and Magisk Hide

You didn't installed this kernel available here. Yeah i made kernel for j5 2016 too, but no thread yet and no official support. I just made it for tests. Cheers!

Had those added and didn't worked quite good. Device started to hang because of sleeping cores. I don't really have this in plans but if i'll have some time i will test more and see if i can come up with something.

Sswap from samsung was useless.. Didn't understand how that worked since it wasn't really helping ram. I have in mind to add proper zram, but this will need long term testing and i don't really have that time to test the environment. Will see what i can do for next version.

You can add them but keep them disabled so that only the users who need hotplugs will enable and use them.. When I used your hotplug based kernel I was able to configure it according to my need without phone hanging, and battery life increased..
