is there a way to make usb otg work without a power supply? this would be great
Pretty much. I don't see why Sense ICS is still being used when there is fully-functional Sense JB.so is this thread dead? no more updates?
Actually... I might update this kernel. I'm way too lazy to port all the updates from my AOSP kernel to my Sense ICS source, so instead I could port my AOSP kernel to Sense ICS. Right now my AOSP kernel doesn't boot on Sense ICS (ViperS 2.0.0) but upgrading the graphics libraries to Jelly Bean MR1 fixes that. Camera is a bit wacky and USB connectivity doesn't work but everything else works and is pretty smooth with my AOSP kernel (hehe it's so fast that when I open apps there isn't enough time to show the opening animation because the app loaded so quickly).so is this thread dead? no more updates?

If you're interested in trying my AOSP kernel on Sense ICS while knowing that USB connectivity and camera aren't working properly then download and flash this package (newer graphics libraries): http://d-h.st/EBk
Then download and flash my newest AOSP kernel (r42) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2035897
I'll look into fixing USB connectivity and the camera during the week (HDMI probably doesn't work at the moment either).
I only support 1 other device and that's the Samsung Galaxy Player (super obscure device). I'm mainly a Qualcomm kernel dev so in the future you might find me in a forum for a Qcom device (I'll probably be getting a Nexus 5 as I'm tired of dealing with batteries and other annoying hardware issues on the Sensation). When I get an Android phone I usually hold on to it for about 3 years or more, so my work isn't very widespread. I've heard terrible things about the Galaxy Nexus; hopefully it goes well for youThanks, man.
I moved to the Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks for all your work!
Do you support other devices?

Only ICS 4.0.3 Sense 3.6 ROMs have everything working as expected and intended by the manufacturer. Some people prefer that.Pretty much. I don't see why Sense ICS is still being used when there is fully-functional Sense JB.
Great idea. Many people would love to see this kernel resurrected... :good:Actually... I might update this kernel. There are still some minor issues with audio and some other stuff (can't recall) with JB Sense, so people shift to ICS 4.0.4 Sense 4.1 ROMs.
For me I don't use Sense JB cause I have weird camera issue with yellow stain in the middle of every photo/video with Seb's 1.0.2 kernel. So I'd use ICS based Sense ROM once I get bored of AOSP.

I already started fixing my AOSP kernel to work on both Sense and AOSP. USB works on Sense now and the camera is working but video playback is glitchy (need to work on the video decoder).Well @Noobel is right. An update to this kernel would be so nice. I'd appriciate if you could consider doing it.

It's an ICS Sense kernel it should work with any ICS Sense ROM, including ViperS 2.0.it still work with viper 2.0 ?
i rather to use v17.5.. perhaps![]()

I haven't given up, I just haven't been able to get video playback to work properly with JB MR1 Adreno libs. The GPU driver in my kernel requires the MR1 libs so it seems I'll have to use an older GPU driver for the ICS kernel. It's an ICS Sense kernel it should work with any ICS Sense ROM, including ViperS 2.0.

I'm back to ICS Sense 3.6 and very hungry for your new ICS kernel :cyclops:
Please don't give up!![]()
Hi Sultan,
since I am using this kernel with ARHD and it works fine, I thought if I move on to another ROM and I was going to try Viper 5, would your r45 kernel work with that rom?
---------- Post added at 02:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:19 PM ----------
thiss kernel for ics sense only not for jb sense....This Works Great with ViperS 2.0 ive used itBut hes not making his kernel for vipersS: 3.1.4
:good:
oh cm'on em not dumb .... i know but em saying to make a jb kernel for vipers3.1.4 alsothiss kernel for ics sense only not for jb sense....
Well thank you. I was hoping that you could make it universal for the sensation because Sebastian's kernel does not have sweep2wake which is very practical. No, r45 is made to be compatible with AOSP based roms only. If you're going for viper 5, use the default kernel which is SebastianFM 1.0.3
Hope it helps![]()
