+ 1. I get the same error 7 message, but then if I power down the phone, boot to recovery and flash again, all goes well. I can flash ROM and Gapps, but like you, once I try to boot system... I get BLU splash screen, then it goes black, BLU splash screen again, then it goes black, then it boots into TWRP.
I know dumb question, but, In twrp, look at the mount screen. Is system mounted as writeable or Read only

It may take a few seconds on BLU white screen , but if more then a minute passes and still does not shift to boot animation then yes the boot image may have a problem, i have noticed on other ports ive done that my boot.img doesnt work on other devices....but do assure that your bootloader is fully unlock. if it is please send me your device boot.img to make a separate cm14.1 for those who are facing this issue.....also is yours a 8gb model or 16gb model (there shouldnt be any difference but I prefer to make sure)

thank you , i will test them out......but from my research it may seem like i would have to find out what drivers the original device uses for that camera and try to compile the R1HD with the same driver ( if it has it in our kernel source ) or build our kernel using that device's kernel source ( if that kernel source was released )
