I tried now a few roms and this here is finally one where wifi connects to my router. But after installing, I’m stuck at the “searching for updates” screen.
Is there a possibility to skip this step?

t560m must have ne hardwarely different from t560

clarification
this is a port rom, so it is likely that when you connect the device to the PC or via bluetooth it shows a different model, it is normal since it is a hybrid between the original rom and the port
the rom it on beta state so please report any problem

I'm not a developer, I only have some general knowledge, and experience porting rom, but I don't even have Linux installed

FAQ

-My tab stuck on bootloop after flash rom why?
Be sure you are using T560 or T561 device,other tabs are not compatible

-brightness control dont work why?
Go to quick setting and in the screen of the edit toggles, add brightness toggle, and switch brightness from automatic to manual... Then can control manually the brightness And we need to remember to do not touch the icon "A" at the brightness toggle

-how to disable double tap to wake(dt2w)from better battery performance?
you need root,use magisk or supersu,later, download smartPack from play store grant permisions, go to Wake Gestures tap on disable and check apply on boot,and reboot

-When i connect bluetooth and wifi at the same time wifi runs slow why?
its a knowed bug,try to solve changing the wifi 2.4 channel,and conect fist the bluetooth device and after,turn on the wifi

-Offline charging seems not work why?
Its a knowed bug,offline charge works but not shows anything on screen(black screen)

yes you can use it as internal storage you can find that in settings storage sd card three dots format as internal and from there you go in developer options scroll all the way down and enable force allow apps on external and then you can move them in the apps section

Overall it is working fine. I've used the latest TWRP for SM-T561 from their website as recovery. However brightness control broke after 1 day of testing. Also there is a weird thing with Viber: when calling iPhone device, the incoming videostream is all black pixels; when calling Android device everything is ok. Whatsapp is working fine on the other hand.

OP stated that magisk can be flashed. I am indeed able to grant root access to apps, however, I'm unable to uninstall system apps or move user>system or the opposite. What am I missing or only SuperSU works for T560?

As per 4pda community both of them works success, magisk and su, maybe try delete magisk by flashing deleting patch and reinstall, I'm use super.su and it's work's well

Yeah ur right I forgot to disable the systemless module...
This is by far the best ROM for T-560.

I have SM-T561

I've downloaded the ROM for my model,
I flashed it with TWRP
And after rebooting, I see again the lineageOS logo loading, without doing anything

Any thoughts???

I had an issue with this rom, using password lock. After reboot, it doesn't recognize the password anymore, leaving no choice than a reinit.
(Yes I tried more than once and making sure no input lag was causing this)
Finally I went for DotOS and the issue disappeared. The performance was maybe slightly better on Viper, but globally on par.

I am not sure if I should ask this here but well..I reflashed my 8yr old Samsung Galaxy Tab E(SM-T561) with Viper Os V5.1 from here . I had the same rom installed before but play services and stuff stopped working so I had to reflash but now when I run disney+ hotstar..the starting ad plays for a few seconds then the video freezes and audio goes on..and nothing happens after the ad ends..I have tried flashing lineage os 14.1 but same issue

Try wipe cache and data, or update, or install another / alternative Android System WebView, and reduce video resolution in your disney+ hotstar app settings
I'm not sure what will help with your disney+ hotstar, but it's easier to try once than flash another rom

Installation on T-560

Way to go team Viper. Installed today on T-560 and all working perfectly. First boot took some time, but after that all crisp an clean experience. Tablet revival
I did use these instructions to install from stock android 4.4.4 (from here):

Prerequisites:
1. Make sure you have TWRP 3 installed (HowTo)
2. Move the downloaded files to your Micro SD Card (>4GB recommended)
3. >50% battery charge
4. Some patience.

Installation:
1. Boot to TWRP 3 (Power + Home + Volume Up) and Swipe to allow modifications
Note: Make sure to Backup EFS and Modem to Micro SD Card in TWRP.
2. Wipe > Advanced Wipe > (Select Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage, Cache ONLY) > Swipe to WIPE
3. Install > Select Storage > Micro SD Card > Select T560_Viper_v4.zip
4. Add More Zips > open_gapps-arm-7.1-micro-20200229.zip
6. Swipe to confirm flash and wait for 5-10 mins
7. After the Flash process DO NOT restart system.
8. Now Restart System.
9. Wait 10-15 mins, it will take some time.
10. Enjoy Viper OS!
