Yes, the 7.4.2 seems to respond better, and for me LTE is a little better, I use straight talk.

Several people requested for me to leave update enabled, I can make a zip via twrp to disabled for those that want.

To disable it manually delete /system/app/AdupsFota/AdupsFoto.apk
Thanks. I've disabled the app for now. That should keep me from receiving any unwanted updates, right? Or is deleting the all the only safe way to not receive updates?

I don't know, never used Gravity Box.

Sorry @vampirefo I should have been more clear. I was asking a general question. The option to swap the navbar buttons is standard in the V12 rom, however has always been missing from the Prime versions.

I was only curious is if was possible to swap them in the Prime versions, either using a mod such as Gravitybox, or some other method.

I restore my v12 TWRP backup's userdata, and reflashed 7.4.2., and the navbar is setup how I previously had it.

Awesome, thank you so much for all your work! You should probably change the title to your thread to show the latest version!

Is there way disable Google Search Bar and recover screen space where bar was?
I want to place apps icons there.
On BLU products webpage they show BLU Energy XL model with bar removed but on R1 HD when I disable Google search bar I cannot move app icons where bar was.

I see Zen UI Rom also has that annoying bar. Is it removable for app icons on Zen UI?

I don't use those apps, I use es file manager, but if you want to delete something, simply open the ROM remove what you want zip ROM and flash via twrp.

I really don't understand why people flash ROMs then try to uninstall stuff, when they can simply open the ROM before they flash remove or add whatever they want before flashing the ROM.
The ROMs I provide can be modified to one's own preference before installing.

sorry if this is lame question, i am new to this but ... would some adb commands worked to delete Amazon apps from /system/app folder?
Would adb shell or adb uninstall work?

... or in order to protect files (apps apks from deletion) should I now mount something in TWRP as read-only? I mean after installing your modified ROM in zip file?

Lastly: I flashed 7.4.2, zip file from your thread, turned on encryption, connected phone to PC and noticed I can browse phone's storage in Windows Explorer.
I would expect storage is encrypted so cannot be browsed, is that right?

I never used encryption, if you are rooted you can use adb to delete files.

Sorry for the obtuse question, but there's no mention of the changelog between 6.6 and the posted 7.4.2 that I saw. I'm on 6.8 and wondering if this is something I need to flash differently since the .img files are newer than what I have right now.

Currently have 6.8 rooted, no ads, looking to get the B12/VoLTE/latest security patches and keep root. Would this be the way to go?

For those who upgraded to 7.4.2, how is it holding up ? No big issues ? All nice & smooth ?
@AtomicFizzle, @AndroidBR - do you still see the core locking issue that you talked about with 6.6 ?

I rebooted this morning too and used it lightly throughout the day. The issue never occurred, CPUs 2-4 would ramp down and go offline when the screen was on and I was not doing something intensive. 9 hours of it working as it should. I tried running various apps to see if I could recreate the issue. I noticed the CPUs stuck at 4 after watching a video within the embedded browser in Feedly. I rebooted a few minutes after and now it's locked again just a few minutes later. The only apps I have run are 3C Toolbox Pro & Tapatalk. I'm using 3C for CPU monitoring in the notification bar, since I already paid for that one a while ago and it's something it can do. I have also tried force killing all running apps with the 3C app but it doesn't make any difference. All 4 cores get stuck active.

So it's really not clear what's triggering this for me yet... But I am wondering too if the kernel is maybe just a little buggy. Probably most people wouldn't notice or care, I guess.

Yep, it's happened to me as well. Didn't run AllCast at all today, but currently my cores are locked in tandem... Not a single core is being allowed to enter their respective "offline" mode. This thing really blows...

It's probably a glitch in the kernel in the way it controls mpdecision and hotplugging. That's what we get with a MediaTek powered device that costs 60 bucks. I'd never pay more than that for a phone like this.

For what it's worth I'm pretty happy with the phone.

But no custom kernel and ROMs plus this glitch with the original kernel, it's pretty much a burner phone for me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look into this. I really appreciate it.

At least now I know I'm not the only one suffering from this and that it's not a hardware related problem.

Here's the thing - for some reason, it stopped happening for me at all in 6.6. I don't know what changed that fixed it. I actually stopped monitoring just recently because it didn't seem necessary anymore.

I just updated to 7.4.2 today. I re-enabled my monitoring package for CPU cores. Seems to be properly scaling down so far. I'll leave it on for a few days just to make sure it stays that way.

Still early on, but so far so good. [emoji106]

I have updated to 7.4.2 version. The band 12 and volte is enabled. Everything works fine except volte.
I am using the t-mobile, I find that when I am calling, the voice still use 3G network instead of volte.
When I am using s7, the volte is working with the same sim card. Do you have the same problem ? Thanks.

BLU R1 HD - 16 GB - Black - Prime Exclusive - with Lockscreen Offers & Ads

This is a Prime stock 6.5 rom, this rom comes from my phone, not rooted unmodified stock rom.
The purpose of this thread is to be able to flash stock or custom roms for Prime R1HD via Twrp.

You need to either have twrp installed or be able to boot into twrp to install this rom.

I currently just boot into twrp, I still have stock recovery installed, my bootloader is unlocked.

I have downloaded @ColtonDRG normal-stock-oob which is V12 non prime version, I checked the permissions on the system to see if 6.5 and V12 used different permission they use the same.

So a V12 rom can be made from my exact stock_rom_R1HD_6.5.zip, I may or may not provide a non prime version, even if I don't all a user has to do it open my stock_rom_R1HD_6.5.zip replace system and boot.img with non prime zip and flash.

There are two twrp recoveries one I just made and one made by @lopestom I had to get the rom compliant with both recoveries, @lopestom was the first recovery available for R1HD and allows backing up and restoring of many partitions, I am going to use his recovery.fstab, but remove the partitions backup and restore I don't use.

both recoveries at one time or other would throw an error
Code:
ApplyParsedPerms: lsetfilecon of /system/lost+found to u:object_r:system_file:s0 failed: Operation not supported on transport endpoint
script aborted: set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
I have now fixed that so neither recovery error, any other recovery that might show up, that person will have to fix his own, for now two recoveries can flash my rom, the one I made and @lopestom

To install download rom and recovery if you don't already have twrp.
