Hi!, what do you mean camera doesn't work? Could you be a bit more specific about what app you are using, errors?
Also that's not the front flash, that's the notification LED, and it turning on during charging can be disabled under Settings -> AICP Extra -> Notifications -> Battery LED
Thx for answer. Didn't know about the notificación Led, so thx again. Camera crash when I try to open the app. Now I flash AICP previous version and Open Gapps Mini. All is working fine. I noticed a battery drain but I have to use a cuple of days to see what happens.

Very nice and fast rom, works fluently, no issues so far.
Clean flash right after flashing original pie, then format, wipe everything, and aicp flash.
Twrp 3.5, Magisk 22 - so far everything works ok. I guess total wipe and format is the key thing here.
Many thanks for marcost22 and AICP team!

Yep, I can confirm - there is a little batery drain, about 4-5 percent per night.

How to activate call recording? I gave the permissions, but during call after pressing 'record' nothing happens - even the folder is not created. Magisk 22 present onboard - should I do something else?

Sorry, my bad... :( Disregard that - call recordings are in subfolder Music... Meesa stupid or sumptin...

Hello, I have installed this rom following the corresponding steps shown in this forum, but when the operating system starts, it stays on the rom logo for a few seconds and the phone restarts again, the same thing happening, repeatedly.

I use TWRP recovery in its latest version: 3.5.2 from albus

I have tried installing the rom without the google apps

I have tried formatting the data partition with TWRP recovery

At the moment of flashing the google applications that are shown in the forum (GAPS Micro arm64 9.0) it tells me an error and does not let me flash.

I hope to get an answer

Sorry for my bad English, English is not my native language so I have no choice but to use the google translator. Best regards!!

Something doesn't add up in your answer; you are using GAPS for android P on a Q rom; so it shouldn't work

I have flashed the Android 9 Pie Filmware Stock ROM: ALBUS_PPS29.133-30_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC via fastboot, then I rebooted the phone and configured it with the Android 9 Pie stock filmware just to find out if it had updated well, by looking for system updates I got a sign saying that the integrity of motorola was at risk so it was not readable to update.
Then I rebooted the phone in fastboot mode and flashed the TWRP recovery in its latest version 3.5.2-9.0 for albus.
then I did a full cleanup and have formatted the data partition so that everything works out fine.

then i have flashed the rom: aicp_albus_q-15.0-WEEKLY-20210417
and open_gapps-arm64-10.0-pico-20210422

The rom worked very well for me, in fact, the battery lasts much longer, the fingerprint gestures work well, the camera works well, magisk also worked well, moto actions work well.

I have had trouble adjusting the automatic brightness as turning off the light did not lower the brightness and I had to manually lower it.

I usually charge the phone while it is turned on, when I disconnected the charger when the phone was with the lock screen, it was stopped and did not respond to the power button so I had to restart it by holding down said button (This happened to me just once).

When I was using the phone, it told me that the battery was a little less than half of its use when I got the notification of low battery suddenly and the phone proceeded to turn off, when I connected it to the power, it turned on charging mode and said that it was charging 50% the battery.

I received a notification saying that a new update had been found to download and install, the update was: aicp_albus_q-15.0-WEEKLY-20210424 so I proceeded to download and install said update via ota through TWRP recovery, after installing the update Using twrp, I rebooted the phone and it stopped for a few minutes and then rebooted several times without even showing the rom logo, so, I had to re-flash the stock android 9 pie filmware, re-flash the twrp but this time I chose version 3.5.0 since it had more downloads on the official twrp page. I did a full system cleanup and had to format the data partition.
Then I have flashed the updated rom: aicp_albus_q-15.0-WEEKLY-20210424 along with google apps: open_gapps-arm64-10.0-pico-20210422
And here I am again, I had to set everything up again

When flashing a system update either via ota or manually. Are data and applications lost? Does the phone reset?

Why didn't I get the installation of the system update via ota using TWRP recovery?

Data and apps don´t lost. I have the same problem when I try to update via OTA, so I do it manually. Boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik before and flash the update. That´s it, don´t need clean install when updating the same ROM.

Thank you very much for the answer, at this moment I am using the phone with the basic google applications, I have not yet installed the daily applications, well, I want to realize that everything is fine with respect to the updates but this time when another update comes out, I will update the ROM manually. Saludos Cordiales: Best Regards!!

Hello, so far so good ! Thanks !

Just installed it, process went fine, thanks to the maintener and AICP team ! I might donate some money if I the Rom fits my needs, to support your work :)

One question though : the GPS does not seem to work. My previously custom rom had the same issue, so I guess this is something more general. I DON'T install Gapps. What could it be? Anyone has managed to make gps work with ou without gGapps on a Albus custom ROm ?

When I try to locate myself with an app such as OsmAnd, it says "unknown position". When I try to locate myself through google maps inside Firefox navigator, the location indicator just spin and no result is shown. I accept localization authorization.

Shall I make a bug report ? Or is it something I need to configure somehow ?

Thanks for your work !

    AICP
    Android Ice Cold Project

AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!

Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.

If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>

    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
    * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

    You tell... :p

    FAQ:
    Before using the ROM:
    Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
    A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.

    Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
    A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!

    Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
    A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.

    Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
    A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .

    Flashing the ROM:
    Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
    A. Check the flashing instructions...

    Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
    A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.

    Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
    A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.

    Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.

    Using the ROM:

    Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
    A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.

    Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
    A. Read this

    Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
    A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)

    Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.

    instructions.png

The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.

It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.

How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)

    1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
    2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
    3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
    4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
    5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work), GApps are already included for some a/b devices.
    6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
    7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
    8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
    9. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!

The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.

    Currently supported Root Solution:

    Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.3 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.

    PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

    3) Yes, yes it does
