Short review of this rom:

i flashed this rom three days ago (GAAPS nano)

battery life seems slightly better than stock rom
GPS works really reliable (drove 500km today with Google maps)
Rooted via magisk - Adaway/Systemizer/youtube as magisk module - no problem at all
Call quality is good but phone-speaker seems a bit too quiet - flashed Viper magisk module, speakers are loud enough now
performance is outstanding! this rom is so smooth! its like a new phone for me (after freeze/stutter bug from stock nougat rom)
fp sensor is working great
Fast charging is working but there is no indicator for it

over all this rom is great, far better than any stock rom and i did not encouter any bugs so far

My experience so far, I'm missing few features

I will update one by one

1. Cast is not working ( I have Samsung smart TV and it is not connecting)
2. No theme manager
3. No native video calling option in dialler
4. Camera quality is good but video recording is dark
5. Some time signal completely goes for few seconds then appears
6. No temporary disable option for navigate bar
7. Mobile download speed is low when compared to stock ROM download speed

Can someone confirm whether face unlock is working properly in this rom to unlock the screen

My Review -
Pros - ROM is second to none, not even stock comes close in stability & battery performance.

Though i hope these issue will be resolved in upcoming builds later...
1- Sound starts playing from speaker even if you are plugged with ear phones during senarios.
2-Signal bars indicator keeps fluctuating often between 0-4(full strength) though data & calls works without breakage.
3-WiFi connections drops in between & connection works again automatically within 3-4 seconds.
4-Phones hangs little bit during Casting on Android TV.
5- Video recordings are little bit darker as of now.
*Tell you if found any.

This ROM is stable as much as stock ROM, I'm using this ROM as daily driver its better than stock with many features + latest security updates every week.

Experiencing random WiFi drops and inconsistent speeds, anyone else having issues with WiFi too?

Besides the WiFi issues the latest build is nearly flawless, was a bit of a hassle to get it running since I've never done this before but so far it's pretty good.

Thanks devs !
Using this for some time now (January).
Everything works great and is smoother than the stock ROM.
The only minor bug is the fluctuating mobile connection display that has already been mentioned.
Had some odd torch-would-not-start issue after a long uptime (2 weeks), a reboot fixed that.

Battery rocks, usually 5-ish days, 7-8 hours SOT
Love Lineage OS - CM user since 2.3.x, wont buy a phone that has no chance of using LOS

Thank you for your hard work. In two days I noted only one problem: under battery usage Bluetooth is always on the first place with impossibile values (110%, 110000mAh) but it's not a real battery drain.

Superb ROM

First of all, Thanks for this great ROM, much better than stock or ridiciously fast compared to stock. Not even talked about stability.
Very smooth, fast. Long story short: VERY good ROM as daily driver.

I used this rom now almost a week and haven't had any noticable issue

1. Cast is not working.
I did not have this issue, i cast a lot but it is working better than stock
2. No theme manager.
not important to me but i can imagine that it would be important to other people
3. No native video calling option in dialler.
I don miss it, i normally use whatsapp for it, but it would be an welcome option
4. Camera quality is good but video recording is dark
For me it is better than stock, i don have any issues with this
5. Some time signal completely goes for few seconds then appears
I don have any issues with this, i use this phone for work al i call at least 4 hours a days (work only) i haven't had this issue once
7. Mobile download speed is low when compared to stock ROM download speed
For me i don have this issue, i think it is faster than stock but it is close

if i find any other things i will update this post.
But i want to mention i am happy that i flashed this ROM. It is a relieve that this great device as a great ROM which it deserves.

so thumbs up for all devs @mikeioannina, @highwaystar_ru, @FireLord

Some update on 15.1 again, everything is working with treble and VNDK enabled but runtime linker isolation disabled. With the right SELinux policies, no functionality loss happens so I will merge the treble related commits soon.

I just still need to test a clean install for any issues and SELinux denials and test VoLTE before official builds start. I'll be sending a build to a few people in the next days probably
    36
Some update on 15.1, everything is working but treble is kept disabled for now, as it "breaks" fingerprint gestures, glove mode and some livedisplay options. It can be enabled later when I find some more time to look into the issues, but let's not make it a blocker to ship official builds.

I just need to test a clean install for any issues and SELinux denials and I need someone to test VoLTE. My life is getting busier during summer at work, but now I use kuntao as daily driver again to spot any potential issues.

Offline alarms being broken is a known issue on cm-14.1 for all devices. Attempts to fix it have been made, but they are all incomplete and at this point nobody works actively on cm-14.1. It's not supported at all on lineage-15.1 at the moment, because codeaurora changed their implementation again (they do it on every single version :( )

Good news is that I have lineage-15.1 in a pretty good shape with almost everything working. Now I'm just working on updating whatever proprietary files are possible to oreo version from other 8953 devices, need to rewrite SELinux policy and maybe experiment with treble using /preload partition as vendor before shipping official builds. Sources will be on gerrit as soon as I cleanup my local mess.
    28
Some update, I spent the past few days working on kuntao and now I've pushed all my device sources to gerrit, kernel to staging/lineage-15.1 branch as usual and proprietary files at my github.
I have kuntao booting with 'preload' partition used as /vendor, enabled full treble and fixed everything to compile with BOARD_VNDK_VERSION := current (although I have runtime linker isolation disabled at the moment).

Everything works except NFC (which worked before enabling full treble), wrong BT/WiFi MAC addresses and I didn't test VoLTE because it's not supported in Greece. I'll keep trying to figure out NFC and MAC in the next days, but the bringup looks more promising than I thought, I hope our old blobs won't cause more issues with treble that I haven't seen yet.
