Are you sure? I'm pretty sure this isn't true, as the only way to get 100% charge is to run the stock boot images which would not boot this at all as /system is modded which causes dm-verity to fail.No this doesn't have the 80% battery charge limit. This is a non rooted rom/mod. It has some great apps.
This can run on the stock boot image. It was created specifically for it.Are you sure? I'm pretty sure this isn't true, as the only way to get 100% charge is to run the stock boot images which would not boot this at all as /system is modded which causes dm-verity to fail.
@jrkruse can you comment?
This is stock Rom. Just adb modsAre you sure? I'm pretty sure this isn't true, as the only way to get 100% charge is to run the stock boot images which would not boot this at all as /system is modded which causes dm-verity to fail.

After unbranding your Verizon S8+ to U1 firmware, can you install root by doing SAMPWND Root method? Is it possible?
I want to know, too.
I'd also like to be able to choose what apps are disabled. I need the Samsung Camera back.
Also, Adhell won't enable. Doesn't even try to turn on.
The phone also dropped service twice on me. I had to reboot it the second time to get service back. And it's not just a few seconds, it's almost ten minutes before it reconnects. This happened at home and while I'm at work.
EDIT: Third time. This time I have data service, but I can't make calls. It's "out of service area."
EDIT 2: Today I woke up to find that it wasn't even connecting to data services any more, though I think I fixed it. I flashed back to stock, currently going through setup but my network is connected with 3 bars and a 4G LTE symbol.
Actually I was thinking, before you were flashing back to stock, did you ever try SAMPWND root or any other method?
Also did it by any chance unlock bootloader since U1 versions have unlocked bootloaders?

Also I don't think they have the userdata imageU1 do not have unlocked bootloaders. They are sim unlocked which is a completely different thing
When Finished Manually Reboot Phone To Recovery This is tricky I had to hold down buttons to boot to download mode then immediately when phone starts to reboot switch to Bixby+Pwr+VolUp until you see S8 Screen
In recovery wipe data then click Apply Update From ADB
It wouldn't matter if you were running a different carrier.
The root progress is very close. They achieved it. Just waiting on release.

Does anyone know how to revert back to the stock Verizon ROM if I choose to go back?
Download package disabler and disable What you don't want. There is no way to permanently get rid of the stuff without root. All my install is doing is disabling stuff. It's all still there.Mine hung at checking network settings so I reflashed everything and it worked again.
Is there a more pico approach that only has the google play store framework and nothing else google (i.e. chrome, drive, etc.)
