In the rom rom control will there ever be any type of modifications "example like status bar and notification coloring" when I click on it, it's blank

I was wondering if the process stays pretty much the same for going from this rom back to the SamFail rom? I am having an issue where I randomly am getting a discoloration of whites whether I am using the pulldown notification menu or any apps that have a white background. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this specific problem. A restart of the phone clears the issue but it reappears quickly after restart.

It's a root thing. Its gonna happen either way.
Also, usually can be fixed by turning screen off then back on. Reboot not necessary.

Unfortunately, my issue is not solved with turning the screen off and then back on. I always have to reboot. Not a major problem but enough to be annoying. Thanks for the info!

These UFirm Carrier Roms are so big I chose to use the flash system.img.ext4 first method in Flashfire followed by a partial rom zip so I could get all the multicarrier stuff to fit. This way also insures that all symlinks and permissions are correct.

Download N8 Firmware HERE
Download NOTE8_DEODEX_ROM_AQI5_V1.zip


Directions
You must be rooted
Extract AP file from the firmware zip and copy AP file to your phone internal storage
Copy NOTE8_DEODEX_ROM_AGI5_V1.zip to your phone
Open Flashfire and choose add zip and choose NOTE8_DEODEX_ROM_AQI5_V1.zip mount system when it ask
In Flashfire choose add firmware and choose AP file. Select system.img.ext4 and persit.img.ext4 DO NOT select boot and recovery images
Add wipe and move wipe to top of flash order
Make sure inject supersu IS NOT SELECTED
Flash order should be wipe; firmware; rom
Click Flash

That first download link are you just downloading that for the system.img and the ap file. Are you able to use the system.img and ap from a different firmware?

I'm just wondering if a bounty of 10k was offered I wonder how long it would be before the bootloader would be unlocked.

Will this rom work on verizon without unlocked bootloader? Also will this wipe my phone? Or will i keep everything? And will it fix the issue only charging to 80%? I am on the first build number "U1" and it is rooted. Sorry just don't wanna ruin such an expensive device.

I've had the Note 8 for quite a few months. I didn't bother coming to XDA, because I figured that there wouldn't be much development on this phone since it was locked down pretty good via Samsung and Verizon. I was quite surprised to see this thread. I haven't read through this whole thread yet. My phone has taken all of the system updates since I've had it including the update to Android 8.0. Does this Rom work on 8.0? It looks like I need to be rooted first, correct? I guess I will need to research a bit more to see if there is an exploit to get this sucker rooted! Personally, that's all I am really looking for right now. I mainly just want to be rooted. Can somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks much!

I have a note 8 verison . It was currently on 7.1 nugget .I upgraded to pie which sucks ass. I'd like to acknowledge Pie's success with pie bootloader 7 ,astonishingly some people like it .I on the other.hand hate it ,I can't do anything cool with my phone anymore . Can anyone help or point me in the right direction to downgrading to android nugget 7.1 rooted and unlocked on bootloader 7 .
