i got vendor/gapps not found error which i corrected by adding https://github.com/BiTGApps/aosp-build to your repo.
(I am testing my above theory for vilte with following patch
but after starting to build it stuck on following error

I am not trying to build for the Pixel, I am trying to build for the Motorola Edge (river) and get a very similar error.

This is a linker problem and is on a machine running glibc 2.34.

I switched to building on a machine running glibc 2.33 and it did not run into this problem.

Technically, programs should not reference the internal glibc functions __libc_csu_init and __libc_csu_fini. Glibc allowed this in 2.33 and before, but became stricter in 2.34 about it. So now attempts to link to those functions fail when using glibc 2.34, causing the build to fail.

I know that "RQ3A.211001.001" is the last Google image.
I'm wondering if there will be perhaps a a version which includes all fixes/improvements for Candy itself since October.

1. Flash the latest Android11 image "sunfish-rq3a.211001.001" to both slots via "flash-all.bat".
2. fastboot flash boot --slot all candy-sunfish-20210913-boot.img
3. Boot to recovery
4. Flash via TWRP the latest Candy11 image "Candy-sunfish-11.0-OFFICIAL-20211020-0133.zip"
5. Reboot
6. Stuck at the boot animation (the red mixer)


Can someone please help?

It is only a guess, but have you flashed the zip file via the ADB sideload method?

I've tried, but this feature seems not to work in the TWRP recovery. It also hangs with a message like "Starting ADB sideload...", but it doesn't work/connect.
After further 2h I quit.

I've installed Bliss now, which offers a factory image.

I also faced the same problem bro... Dont use twrp but use candy roms old recovery. Check in the previous posts (Which is similar to LOS one). That should boot and fix the issue... Try once if you get time bro....
