[Discontinued][ROM][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 18.1 weeklies for Redmi 7

I don't want to use A12 and its hideous quick settings tiles.
How can one continue maintaining this 18.1 build? Like backporting the security fixes of the later builds?

If you build 18.1 yourself, you don't need to backport security patches, as the LineageOS team still do that monthly for 18.1, so just sync the source monthly after the backported patches merged, then you'll be good.
Can I build 18.1 with an i5 7300hq 8GB ram laptop? It seems 16gb ram is the minimum.
It might work with a huge Swap, preferably on an SSD, but it'll take a long time to build.
Your other option is to get a VM at some cloud provider. Many offer free trial.
Hi, does someone know where can I get a copy of the latest available nightly LOS 18.1 for the Redmi 7? I don't want to switch to LOS 19.1 (because of the Android 12 and the Recovery) and I don't have a good PC to build 18.1 myself

I'm using this: MGC_8.6.263_A11_V14_snap but can't recall where to download. So far it's been working nice, I think the only issue is slow-motion record, but tbh have not tested that function yet.
Anyone encountered a slight screen flickering issue on this rom? I suspect it's draining battery as well.
I had that issue with MIUI ROM, I haven't noticed it yet with this LineageOS ROM.
Hi there, I'm trying to use Magisk for the safetynet issue, I've renamed the magisk apk into zip, flashed using the recovery (adb sideload magisk.zip), the phone installed the magisk app but when I open the app, still says "ramdisk No" and can't use magisk functions... Is there any other step I've to follow? Thanks.
PS: I'm using LineageOS recovery.
Edit: nvm, I sorted it out. Looks like the latest magisk doesn't include the safetynet checker, that's why I tought it was not working. I've installed safetynet universal fix + hideprops and everything works good.

Upgrade from lineage 17.1: official guide
Fresh Install:
- Reboot to recovery
- Format /system, /data and /cache
- Install LineageOS zip package
- Install GApps of your choice [optional]
- Reboot
Important note:
- Format data is necessary if MIUI was previously installed or device was encrypted with other encryption methods like FBE.
- No Custom Kernels are supported in this thread.

3Guys I have seen a lot of guys are discussing about magisk. Actually magisk is not a important thing to make the rom to boot. Just flash lineage 18.1 zip and a11 gapps to upgrade from lineage 17.1.
If you really want magisk, flash it after first boot (best case).
and you can use latest magisk 22.0 . It works well.
and for update bootloops, You guys may be used someother recoveries which is not recommended. Follow the steps as per lineage wiki . (may be my twrp works well but I don't even recommend. just follow as per lineage wiki if you are a normal user)2

Now you do not need to reflash it after every ota update that rom receives, just flash it only once
