I was making call on newest firmware V12.0.3.0.QEAMIXM and also had that whistle issues on speaker (loud high tone noise). I've switched to firmware V11.0.5.0.QEAMIXM global stable. I made one call and tried replicate the situation and call was without the whisle. Can someone with this issue try this and confirm it?
I've donwloaded firmware from this location

I downloaded the zip, went into Twrp and installed it. Didn't wipe afterwards. Now basesband is AT4.0.c2.6-331-0706_1718_ef0b290 but the problem is still present.
What I find interesting is that during Signal phone calls the bottom microphone is much less sensitive and prone to the touch issue. Somehow Signal gets it right whereas the dialer app fails... But as mentioned before, I already tried a different dialer app without success

I use firmware from 12.0.2.0. I dont have the whistle issue.
Just in case you felt like testing that too.

So can someone report back with GPS info whether or not they can pick up Beidou satellites etc or only GPS and Glonass type ones? If not I can also apply to GPS fix to 18.1 as I've needed for 19.1

Edit: Thanks for confirming its 19.1 problem only. Cheers

I have the issue. LineageOS does not see all GPS types. I'm on 18.1-20220519-NIGHTLY-dipper/ with last stable firmware 12.0.3.0

EDIT: Downgraded to firmware 12.0.2.0 / cleaned cache/dalvik + cleared GPS cache + forced GPS data update and my phone still can't see other types of GPS satellites apart from those shown in the screenshot

Hi! Mind sharing what firmware/ build you're using? Did you flash any specific vendor? Trying to figure why I have this issue. It looks like you and @darealthing have GPS working with all satellite types as intended
I was using the latest availble Build and i think(cause i'am not quite sure)the latest Global Firmware(Baseband is 4.0.c2.6-00335-0220_1946_40a1464).

Hi have the same good GPS results as ALGOPOP. I'm using a different Firmware (could be latest China Firmware V12.5.2.0.QEACNXM, but I'm not quite shure). My Baseband is 4.0.c2.6-00335-1011_2201_3c8fca6.

BTW is there a reference-list for identifying the Firmware version from Baseband? Would be nice to have.

Thanks! I will flash the device again and retest. I may just switch over to LOS 19.1 while I am at it and report back. It may just be an issue with my device. I have yet to try China Firmware. I will give it a try before re-flashing, thanks!

EDIT 2: Finally managed to see the Beidou satellites. I reinstalled the 12.5.2 firmware (fw_dipper_miui_MI8_V12.5.2.0.QEACNXM_f5ec813d1c_10.0) and all is working as intended. Not sure why firmware matters for my phone @infrag

running 18.1-20220602-nightly-dipper and noticed issue with not being able to see other devices on save wifi network. I am using WLED app (colorful led lights running on ESP8266 MCU) It can 'see' other devices connected to same wifi. With LineageOS current build, The app cannot 'see' other devices connected to same wifi network, don't know if this is a NAT thing. I used a different android phone with stock ROM and it was able to see the ESP8266 connected to same wifi network. So I think there is something with this ROM that is not working.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

    GPL compliance:

    Device tree source code: LineageOS/android_device_xiaomi_dipper
    Kernel source code: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_xiaomi_sdm845

    Compatibility:
    Compatible with Xiaomi Mi 8
Builds are based off the Xiaomi's Android 10 firmware.
    Downloads:
    Official download links: https://download.lineageos.org/dipper

    Lineage 18.1 Kernels:
    15/06/2021

    Lineage 18.1 Unofficial builds:

    Build 15/06/2021

Recommended firmware is latest MIUI stable firmware.

    Notice:
No custom kernels are supported in this thread. Only stock kernel and official builds will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case.

    Installation:
Reboot to recovery (TWRP recovery for Mi 8)
    Format /system, /data and /cache
    Install MIUI firmware
    Install LineageOS zip package
Install [optional] a Google Apps package of your choice

    Important notes:
    * Required * firmware version must be based on MIUI *-based builds.
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.

All LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

so the newest build 04/11/2019 uses Xiaomi Q blobs.
    Therefore it has some bugs:
I havent got bluetooth audio working yet. Bluetooth calls seem to work fine though.
Sound: Speaker works if you make a phone call first and switch to speaker during the call. After that everything else starts working.
Edit: fixed. - GPS all satellites should show up now.
Android Auto fixes probably havent been added yet to lineage but when anything shows up I'll add it.

The reason this build took so long to be released is that Q radio blobs kept causing a reboot when data was used and switched to low power mode. I believe I have fixed this.

Edit: Uploaded the correct build now. Also added in gps fix

Also fyi I'd hoped to have anther build up by now but since lineage has changed to 17.1 branches instead of 17.0 my build system is a bit of a mess. Waiting for all the repos to be updated to 17.1 before releasing anything. Hopefully it wont be too long...

18/12/2019 finally a working q build with q blobs and working audio.
havent tested it a lot so any bugs let me know. There will be a v2 of the audio fix/change. This fix was just to make it work. :)

    new build in OP.
For android auto users unless I say otherwise I have not fixed your problem yet. :|
