So unfortunately I can't help you with the first point.
On the side note:
1) install Magisk Hide props (optional Busybox "by osm0sis")
2) open terminal and give it root rights.
3) enter props
4) 1. Edit dive fingerprint -> "f - Picked a certified fingerprint" -> 26 Samsung -> search the number for Samsung galaxy s 20 Ultra (59 or 58) -> y -> reboot If he but asks for it.
Now you have passed a safety check and can install magisk if you have checked magisk hide and hided the play store (check hide it goes off after changing the fingerprint.

Now download the liboemcrypto disabler module from Magisk repo and enjoy netflix

Is this crash caused by Lineage? I'm hoping that fixing this and completing setup will let me use "Ok Google"

Which open gapps build do you HAVE?

For example, if you want to install "full", you need to flash lineage and gapps normally, then restore with a backup of /data, then you have installed the new gapps and bypass the opengapps login bug 😉

Hi all, I haven't messed around with any android software in a while. Anyone have any thoughts on "ROEHSOFT RAM Expander" for adding virtual ram? Worth it?

If you don't really need google play services, only the apps, install Aurora Store. Some notifications require google services though, but you can circumvent that using Magisk Module (install this modules in order, MicroG->riru core->riru edxposed sandhook), after that install edxposed manager (link inside edxposed sandhook), reboot device, open edxposed manager, install fakegapps, give permission from edxposed manager. And reboot, after that open microg (should be installed after u reboot) and enable google device registration and google cloud messaging. For youtube search youtube vanced

1) Boot TWRP
2) Wipe - > Format Data - > yes
3) Install LINEAGEOS 17.1 (20201015)
4) Reboot recovery
5) Install gapps pico
6) Make the normal installation process by logging in to google
7) Enjoy
8) If you have problems with Magisk addon.d, enter in the Twrp terminal

mount -o remount,rw /system_root

rm -r /system_root/system/addon.d

9) flash magisk

Thank you all for your help but unfortunately my problem is still unsolved
@StuKaGel
what I really want to do is download artflow from playstore and sync my licence with my google account, can your method do that ?
@mu1989
I am using TWRP from 02 nov 2020 and LOS from 15 Oct 2020
I just tried what you asked me to do I rebooted to recovery just after flashing the rom still reboot to recovery after 40 seconds of boot time
should I flash the recovery again to see if it change something ?

Edit : Just did that and still the same issue, I will try to revert back to stock and do the whole process again in the meantime if you have other suggestion let me know !

What is in the twrp log?

I am trying to flash gapps but every time I do so, lineage boot animation goes on for a while, then it restarts to recovery. Not flashing gapps launches into lineage just fine.

I ve tried pico, and nano gapps for arm64. I also tried wiping cache and dalvik in between lineage os and gapps, or just after gapps or not all, nothing works :/
I have s6 lite lte with this firmware "EUR-P615XXU3BTI3-20200918175841"

Seems like this is a common issue on the lte variant, could you send me a logcat when trying to boot with gapps installed?
But I don't have the device and it has some issues which are hard to fix without having it,
so I'm thinking about dropping the lte variant until someone owning the device joins the development.

I am not sure how to give you the logcat :/ I found a logs.tar and a log file on TWRP folder are those the ones you want?

Last time I tried, my Nova Launcher Licence synced.I've mostly degoogled tho by switching my apps to open source ones, only using google services for youtube and notification (some apps require google apps or microg)

Try BitGapps Version 10 and not Opengapps.
Make an factory in LOS from TWRP and than flash BitGapps. Wipe cache and dalvik than reboot to system.

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

    Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

    Installed Lineage and it was booting, but had some problems with installing Gapps.
    After 3 attempts succeeded with installing Open Gapps pico from sd-card.
    In the first 2 attempts, TWRP gave error "failed to mount '/system_root"
    I found this: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/pull/2496 , probably due to dynamic partitions.

    Wifi, Bluetooth, pen are working, but gps is not working.

    Yes, TWRP's support for dynamic partitions is still not fully finished.
    Gps is working for me, but it takes a very long time initializing, that should be fixed with the next update (I'm currently working on including Samsung's september secpatch update on which gps seems to work faster)
    2
    I have uploaded an updated version with september vendor security patch which should also fix the gps issues
