MD5 Hashes identical files different?

Why are the MD5 Hashes on Mirror 1 different after r22?

Just wondering the same and this question isn't answered yet...
On the download website the MD5-hashes of files on mirror servers that should be identical... are different.

For instance:
G96XF-FD-BRGA_by_SoLdieR9312_7.0_r31.zip
MD5 www.renovate-ice.com: 23f261d57de7607b504dd13a2a741840
MD5 mirror1.renovate-ice.com: bea8e2adb6ee0788774c85ee481a2535

Nope, i'm doing dirty flash since few versions with keeping exactly all data and settings so Smart Switch also shouldn't be problem.

I'm coming from an unrooted stock ROM so a dirty flash is not an option this time. In future, I will be using Titanium Backup but, again, that isn't an option for me on my first installation of root and the ROM. So can I use Smart Switch to restore my stuff?

Yes, Smart Switch is a lot safer than Titanium Backup when it comes to different ROM and/or firmware versions, from my experience, and so is Samsung Backup & Restore from the Cloud. Make sure you enable OEM Unlock from developer options before doing anything, though. Read the sticky guide clearly.

Clean Install v7.0 and got Bootloop at Samsung logo. Below is the steps that I did:

1. Flash latest firmware (Flashable_G96XF_Firmware_TWRP_BRGA_r8.zip) and boot successfully into my previous ROM
2. Go to recovery and perform a full WIPE
3. Flash 7.0 with Magisk, some bloatware removing (like Google apps, M$ apps, AppLock, etc..), stock kernel & CSS options
4. Got this error message at the end of flashing:
CSS Features:
.....
File_GetProp: Failed to Stat
"/TMP/AROMA-DATA/NAVBAR.PROP": no such file or directory
5. Reboot and got bootloop at Samsung logo
Note: 7.0 zip MD5 is matched

Any idea?

Yeah, that only happens if you do a full wipe.

No issue with dirty flash.

Unfortunately, I was on another custom ROM so can't do dirty flash, have to wait SoL to create a fix for that.

I thought this was fixed in a previous version @SoLdieR9312 ?

Shouldn't it say VAU/VAU/VAU ? not just twice ?

I too get this error from a clean install. I just clicked next, I didn't change any of the default options.

You need to be on a Custom ROM based on the Version of the MOD Zip!

    1. Make a backup of your current device state, so you can go back if something is broken
    2. Flash a Custom ROM based on the current MOD ZIP, i highly recommended [ALEXNDR]s DevBase
    3. DO NOT WIPE system! [Mod zip do not contain a full rom!]
    4. Flash the matching MOD ZIP in TWRP [example: Custom ROM is DTD7 -> DTD7 Mod]
    5. Flash latest Twrp Flashable Firmware
    6. Device will reboot after Firmware flash
    7. Enjoy

If you want to update to new base, simply flash the Custom ROM Update, then my mod zip, done.

    Hey Guys,

i'm uploading v23.0 based on CSJ1 (October Security Patch Base) (will be done in about 2 hours..)
CSJ1 Firmware and DualSim + SDCard Mod are already up on my webpage.

    Changelog will be:
-rebased to CSJ1 (October Security Patch Base)
-updated Stock patched Kernel to CSJ1
    -updated Magisk to v20.0
    -updated AdAway to 4.2.9

As all of you know, i do not own a S9 series device anymore since March, so i'm only able to fix issues by getting logs and clear description of what is not working.
The ROM comes with everything that was included in July, when i stopped the project.
As i got many pm's in the last time, that it would be nice to see my project back, i have decided to push a update to the ROM and see how it will go.

The new Telegram Support Chat can be found here.

EDIT: Rom is up. As always, do a nandroid before flashing, in case of something goes wrong!

    13.0 released

ROM rebased to CRLI (Android 9.0 | PIE)
    December Security Patch Base
Stock patched Kernel rebased to CRLI
    added some more debloat options
    ROM Updater 1.0.6 added:
    supports PIE ROM now
    fixed all links for webpage

NO Custom Kernel until Sources drops for Pie.
Do not even try to boot with Oreo Kernel ;)

Coming from OREO i would do a Clean flash, otherwise strange issues will mess the UI.
Coming from PIE Beta a Dirty flash will be fine.

Merry XMAS to all, and thanks for your support in 2018!
