Yes. Enter safestrap do full wipe, flash the rom, then flash the bog5 firmware zip, then reboot! It will take 5 to 10 minutes to boot!

thanks much jrkruse...btw,do i need to flash the Kernel too after reboot? Sorry for my ignorance!! ;) again Thanks!
Since your flashing the firmware zip on this install it already contains the kernel. If you enter safestrap from here forward then you will need to flash kernel zip after you flash a zip to boot back to rom

Why do most people use safestrap when flashfire is so much more convenient? Just curious if I'm missing something

Because you use flashfire enough it will fail one of these times to flash and then your SOL you have to odin back to NCG root and start all over and loose everything on your internal storage. At least if safestrap fails you can flash another rom or try again as you can most always boot back to safestrap. Safestrap is just as easy to use as flashfire now that we do not have to use odin to boot into safestrap

Upgraded from BOD5 to BOG5 by flashing BOG5 Odexed and BOG5 Firmware via FlashFire Pro 0.21. Went flawlessly with just a wipe of Dalvik & cache. @jkruse YOU ROCK!!!

I'd like to use a Dark It Up Black theme, could someone post a link to the thread for me as I am having trouble finding it. Also, if I go with Dark It Up Black shoudl I update to BOG5 DeOdexed? Thanks :) :) :)
You can only use the 2 themes posted in the 2 post on the odexed rom

SUCCESS
Came from muniz_ri OE1 Odex. Successfully flashed OG5 deodexed in FF v0.21. Flashed ROM and firmware from OP. Wiped davlik and cache partition, retained root. The whole process took about 10 minutes.

I have always debloated via freezing apps in TiBu. Performing a batch unfreeze before flashing, is this still the preferred method??
I came to jrkruse's deodexed because i wanted Xposed. Does anyone have a link?
I put Lollipop SS v3.75 on my phone, not sure why when I have FF. Anyone using ROM slots other than stock?

Thanks to jrkruse for making my device silkysmooth:)

I disagree. I see people all the time getting stuck in boot loop with safestrap and have to go all the way back to ncg. I've used flashfire several times recently. I guess to each their own

9 out of 10 times all you have to do is use Odin and flash a kit Kat kernel and it will boot back to SS. Ask anyone still using SS they will tell you the reason they are still using is the reason I just told you. Flashfire is a great tool and it's the only thing some people have to use
