Hello,
My s9+. After using it for more than 1 month. As you can see according to accu battery nearly 10 hours of sot. Most of the battery is messenger or chrome (chat heads disabled). Constant 4G on + volte + sometimes bluetooth and wifi. Ofc when playing pubg, max sot about 4 hours ...

Canadians and Americans that are posting that you have great battery life on your S9, please note if you are using an Exynos model because if you are using a North American sourced S9, it is a snapdragon. The snapdragon phones are getting beast battery life. I have been blown away at the runtime that I get on my S9 (snapdragon). I don't have to charge my phone more than the once per day. I take it off the charger at about 8am and still have over 75% when I leave work at 5pm. The thing gets a small charge as I use it with my AA in my Civic but after that, no charge again till 10pm. I still regularly have more than 40% of my battery remaining.

This is not only a massive change for me from my S4 but even my wife who went from an LG G5 to an S9 is very impressed with the battery time. And her G5 was less than a year old so it is not a case of the battery being worn out in the G5.

So for all those Exynos owners out there, I really hope that Samsung fixes this if they even can.

I'm also having great battery life after ARD4 update. Reaching up to 8h SOT in contrary to 4,5h that I was having before.

Exynos dual-sim
Sorry but what is ARD4?

Did you guys do a factory reset after flashing ARD4?

I get 5h around 5h of SOT, with AOD, Auto Birghtness, Dolby Atmos, Blue Light Filter, Edge Lightning, Wi-Fi calling, on Wi-Fi or Data always, Video Enhancer on, Game Mode on and High Performance profile.

Don't know if this is good or not, though. What are your settings?

I didn't do a hard reset after the update. I'm also noticing better battery in using the device during the day, basically now I'm able to get throughout the day at work without charging and I'm a heavy user.

However please notice that I did debloat my device and I do not use official Facebook or LinkedIn app, instead I use third-party apps or lite versions.

Because of a lot of variables it does not make sense to compare battery life between users, however I did notice a very big improvement after the update. I really didn't change anything on my device since so this is the only explanation.

Byuing S9

Hello all, I would like to buy S9 (exynos, dual sim), currently I use S6. But I have worries about battery life after reading the forum or another reviews. Is the battery life/draining doing better after android/samsung updates? thanks for answer!

battery life will be better than s6, not great not poor battery life. i own a exynos variant. Well worth the update but if you can, wait for the s10 otherwise go ahead. its a great device
