Keep it as a media device

lol yep, and GearVR, and the camera was amazing too, S9 camera is amazing but sometimes I wonder if the S7 was better under certain conditions, I still have all my photos to compare between them and sometimes the S7 wins

Anyway I think we derailed the battery thread enough now lol :D

impressive ! mind sharing mods ?
try to use this settings:
- switch to fhd
- developer options: mobile data turned off when on wifi
- screen brightness about 35% with auto on
- disable facebook
- no AOD (doesnt use it that much)
- dark theme (but my wallpaper isn't though)
- apps are sleeping always except line messenger, whatsapp, google play games, spotify

I really don't understand all the reports about battery life and SOT on the S9+ Exynos!
Reports of 4 hours or less SOT?!

I bought my phone 2 weeks ago, and I never got under 6 hours SOT!

I installed SoLdieR9312 G965FXXU2BRI1 ROM.

This is my settings:
- I use resolution WQHD+
- WiFi allways ON
- Always on display enabled except from 00:00 to 8:00 and when I'm using the phone or in my pocket
- 4G LTE always on
- Location high precision always on
- Bluetooth always on connected to my watch sending mails and all notifications
- Auto brightness
- No power saving options except that I have added lots of apps to make them allways sleep when I'm not using them (there are some battery drain apps)
- I use a black theme that may help a little

A normal 24H day for me, where I've played for almost 4 hours outdoor and still had 10%:

EDIT: I'm sorry I posted on the S9 forum and not the S9+, but even with the extra "500 mAh", I do not think there should be such a big difference. between both devices!

There is a big difference, in fact with the S7 Edge with the 3500mAh battery most people were getting around 7 hours SoT vs about 5 with the S7 flat's 3000mAh battery

But even still, I was getting over 6 hours SoT with my S9 flat when I first got it, sometimes closer to 7, I'm averaging around 4.5 hours now

Same thing happened with my S7, but after a factory reset I got that back again, seems the OS bogs down over time wasting battery life, more than likely due to updates

With my S5 I used to reset after every update and my battery life was always great

Hi there, I've had a few occasions when I'm using the phone to browse the internet, the battery is showing as around 15%, then suddenly the phone dies. Turning it back on, it's at 0%. Other times I do manage to see the battery go down gradually like normal until it dies.

Anyone else having the same issue whereby it suddenly dies when it's showing more than 10%? It's only 6 months old, so it cant be normal battery deterioration...

My new battery never charges to more than 2850. My wife's battery bought at the same time usually reaches 3050 may. Only diff b/w phones is one is manufactured 3/2018 and my wife's 8/2018. Accubattery shows my battery has 96% capacity only. Any suggestions if I can ask Samsung to replace my battery.

You can ask but they won't change it on the basis of a 3rd party app they do not support

I had used greenify in the past but I have had my S9 (North American Snapdragon version) for well past a year now and still don't have any issues with daily use battery life. Even under moderate use, I can go 14 to 18 hours and I have even once, forgot to charge it overnight and still had almost 50% left in the morning.

I liked it when I had to use it to save battery but I just don't see the need in my life anymore.

I should note my wife also has the same model S9 and also has no issues with battery life.
