What do people on stock rom use to customize their LED notification? The ones in Xposed haven't worked for me. I guess it's because they are pretty outdated.

I tried nitrogen, DU, and AQ and for AQ was the most stable in terms of performance and battery life but then I got fed up because of the expanded desktop black screen bug but at the time users like Badger helped me out but I seriously need expanded desktop on my homescreen everywhere else I don't care about lol. So I went back to stock Flash kernel Magisk a couple modules Viper and DD custom navigation bar but now you guys are making wanna jump back in the water for AQ lol.

I'm not on a stock rom, but I use Light Manager
Noted. I'm trying out gravity box. It's got led control but you have to pay for it. So far so good ?
I'm using Stock+flash+magisk+pk tuning script+Xposed edge for nav(no nav bar buttons for me)+fingerprint gestures+edge sense plus to maximize the squeeze feature ?

Edit: the LED controls on gravity box just light up once and stop. Better look at light manager

How's it going guys, what we all running at the moment?

I've been happy with AQ but then got flashy-happy and now on Resurrection Remix. It's serving it's purpose very well and I'm still on the first charge cycle (around 3hr SOT with 50% left, light-medium usage). It doesn't have working colour modes so can't have saturated/booster modes, which I kinda miss. Though with flash kernel everything is nippy and running nicely with all my required features.

Part of me has been tempted to go back to stock and xposed setup, but then I know I'd eventually miss android pay as I like the option of being able to use my contactless payments with my phone (more than having the squeeze actions that I could have with a stock rom).

For some reason though, I still have it in my head that LOS based roms (like the good old cyanogenmod ones) just have that bit more battery drain compared to stock, so I'm gonna see how this goes and if all else fails I'll head back to AquariOS or perhaps Nitrogen, though I additionally like having the screenshot edit incorporation with AQ.

Either way, very happy with this device :)

I went back to stock + root + Flash. There's just a couple of things stock does better for me. Mainly the ability to hear phone calls on my vehicles speakers. I'm on the road a fair amount, so that's important to me. I'm sure I'll run the rom circuit again before too long though. Much you have learned since your beginning young Obiwan!???

Ahaha how's it going Badger!

Yeah I'm highly tempted to do the same to be fair, with xposed. There's just something intrinsically satisfying about having stock and with the addition of xposed, I must say I was very happy (that was my first setup..)

I'll give RR a few days, perhaps until the weekend and if I'm still tempted I'll revert back to it. Its nice to have done the full wipe and update to April release. Initially I just updated the vendor and the latest AQ but when switching to RR I flashed stock first, thus updating the bootloader and radio too.

Still on stock + root + flash kernel + gravity box xposed module.

I tried a handful of roms but I've grown too used to the navbar spacing gravity box sets; not to mention the custom key settings.

I might ride this setup out until the end of this device's lifespan, unless PureNexus makes its way here, that ROM has been my all-time favourite:D

My take is dirty unicorn. Mainly for expanded desktop and i felt its very polished. Batter life is awesome 3% drop overnight

Tried nitro and aqua (affected by data transfer bug in setup).. Still went back to DU

Yeah highly tempted to go back to this setup too, plus I know what you mean by the navbar spacing and I too do like that!

What do you think is the best kernel for performance?

I've tried many customs kernel, probably the best are Flash Kernel and ElementalX Kernel which give better battery life, no change in performance.

I've actually yet to try Sultans or ElementalX, however I'm using Flash kernel along with the Unified kernels tuning script and very impressed with performance and battery life. The combination of the kernel and script runs nicely

Have you tried this script also with stock kernel?
