I flashed over the lastest stable build. Everything is working within Oxygen OS.

However I wanted a clean setup so I was going to factory reset after install.

Problem is I can't get in to stock recovery. Everytime I try it reboots back to bootloader. Is this an issue with Magisk like not being able to charge with the phone off?

Yes, I flashed the patched boot.img because twrp doesn't work with Q, and the stock recovery it's gone.

Guys, the McLaren edition ones, can you see this clock working on your ambient display? I can see it on the menu the but the actual display is showing nothing.

Okay I've done everything I CANNOT get Wi-Fi working on this damn device with the Android 10 release.

Full MSM wipe. Got myself to 9.0.13 with the tool. Took the update to stable 9.0.17 (since it will not let me install Android 10 without it). Then upgrade to Android 10. Once again NOTHING setup except for my WiFi network on Pie. It refuses to connect to my WiFi on Android 10.

I'm MSM wiping it again. This time I'll update OB 25, then will take OB 30 (Android 10). This time ZERO things being setup. No wifi setup, no finger print, no pin, no signing into my google account. I'm skipping everything. If that doesn't do it I'm 100% at a loss. Any thoughts? Can't be any more stock/untouched than that.

International (unlocked) 256GB 6T bone stock unrooted at the moment.

International global variant. This isn't for T-Mobile. I don't know why everyone insists on shoe horning everything in to the subsidized T-Mobile phone.

Wasn't hard at all. Flashed it just like we originally flashed the T-Mobile phones.

Decrypt payload.bin
Fastboot flash the non critical partitions.

Code:
fastboot flash aop_a aop.img
fastboot flash aop_b aop.img
fastboot flash bluetooth_a bluetooth.img
fastboot flash bluetooth_b bluetooth.img
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
fastboot flash dsp_a dsp.img
fastboot flash dsp_b dsp.img
fastboot flash dtbo_a dtbo.img
fastboot flash dtbo_b dtbo.img
fastboot flash fw_4j1ed_a fw_4j1ed.img
fastboot flash fw_4j1ed_b fw_4j1ed.img
fastboot flash fw_4u1ea_a fw_4u1ea.img
fastboot flash fw_4u1ea_b fw_4u1ea.img
fastboot flash modem_a modem.img
fastboot flash modem_b modem.img
fastboot flash oem_stanvbk oem_stanvbk.img
fastboot flash qupfw_a qupfw.img
fastboot flash qupfw_b qupfw.img
fastboot flash storsec_a storsec.img

fastboot flash system_a system.img
fastboot flash system_b system.img
fastboot flash vbmeta_a vbmeta.img
fastboot flash vbmeta_b vbmeta.img
fastboot flash vendor_a vendor.img
fastboot flash vendor_b vendor.img
fastboot flash LOGO_a LOGO.img
fastboot flash LOGO_b LOGO.img

Done. Took me about 5 mins to install. Well worth the "shoehorning" to get this phone for half price.
Once A10 is released as stable and we get an MSM tool for it, we'll be back to local upgrades again.

Also for everyone swapping a/b to install magisk, it's not needed.
fastboot flash boot_a magisk_patched.img
fastboot flash boot_b magisk_patched.img

It's two lines. That's it.

I know this is a stupid question, do you need to have bootloader unlocked to fastboot flash?

Will that restore my stock Recovery?

I updated from 9.0.17 with Magisk, no other mods, no TWRP.

After doing the local upgrade I still have root, everything in Android works, however I can not access my Stock recovery to do a full factory reset. Felt it was best to do a factory reset after upgrading from Android 9 to 10. May wait till stable lands though.

Warning: Do not flash partial update OTAs (under 1 GB) on a modified/rooted device! If you want to use partial OTAs, you must first flash the full OxygenOS zip that it applies to, and then flash the partial OTA from stock recovery. Flashing partial OTAs from TWRP will either fail or soft brick your device. You can return to a usable state by flashing one of the above full zips in recovery.

    Installation Instructions

Download the necessary files from the section above and follow the steps below:

Note: Dirty flashing is fine if you are running an old OxygenOS version or a ROM based on OxygenOS. If you are, however, coming from a Custom ROM, you must clean flash.

Caution: Please remove your existing screen lock/pin/pattern/password and set it to swipe before starting the update process.

For Non-Rooted Users with a Locked Bootloader and Stock Recovery

    1. Download the full ROM zip from the downloads section above and place it in the root of your internal memory

    4. Reboot to System
Note: First boot may take some time, so please be patient and wait for it to boot.

[Dirty Flash] For Users with an Unlocked Bootloader and TWRP Recovery coming from Stable OxygenOS, OxygenOS Open Beta

    1. Download the full ROM zip and TWRP recovery from the downloads section above
    2. Transfer the full ROM zip and TWRP recovery to the root of your device's internal storage
    3. Reboot to TWRP recovery and take a nandroid backup of your existing ROM
    4. From the TWRP menu, Install > Select full ROM zip > Swipe to flash

    8. Reboot to System

    Thread cleaned.
Some posts were pointless, some were useless, most were complaints,
few were mature (but had to be removed since they were part of discussion )

Before posting in the thread , do the following steps.
1.)Read the thread title and first post.
2.) Check if the post you are going to make is relevant to thread
    3.)If not , don't post.

In case you are not happy with a manufacturer/update/firmware/blah-blah-blah then make your decision with your wallets.
Don't go on complaining around random threads for the sake of complaining.

@Funk Wizard any news on beta 8 or stable 9.0.13??

No ETA due to release policy/non disclosure agreement but, both are close. You may have already received the play store update launcher/shelf addition of new features if you opted for beta along with some other updates. The team is working relentlessly on the launcher/shelf and there are many more features planned which i wont be able to disclose currently but all i can say it would turn up to your virtual assistant in the times to come and will give you a lot of information on the go.

Also some additional features/mode is under final testing on the alphas so it should trickle down soon along with other tweaks and welcome additions.

Pie build for 3/3T is all cooked and certified and ready to be delivered really shortly now so once that gets out of the way the focus will be more getting the builds out every 10-14 days on betas & 30-60 days on the stable path.

Also OnePlus OEF Developer conference in to take place in Goa where some of the top developers to come together on one platform early next month which will further step up third party development for the current and upcoming device.

Lots happening behind the scenes so i would thank the community for being patient so far and request for continued support as there is a lot to come in the next 3 months :good:

    Stay Tuned :highfive:
