Special features and settings

1) Lock screen: Enable ink effect while choosing "Ripple effect" as your unlock effect.
2) Sound: Add S4 audio files and change default notifications tone to whisper (original = whistle). Disable "Haptic feedback" to extend your battery life.
3) Safety assistance: When an emergency situation is declared, emergency messages will be sent.
4) Internet: Enable popup browser on top of other apps. Enable smart scroll won't cause it to FC (no effect, still in experiment).
5) Video: By default, you can turn over your device to pause the video (same as "Smart pause" feature)
6) Phone: You can record whole conversation while on phone calling.
7) Messaging: You can change message display style through settings. (Bubble style and Background style - See screenshot below)

8) Group Play: Share music, pictures and fun gaming with others. [PS: Download "Other apps" from links in Download section below. Install "Group Play" app to enable these features]
9) Gallery: Edit your picture while in single picture view through "Edit" icon on top right side, and create collage when you select multiple photos under album view through the menu options. [PS: Download other apps from links in Download section below. Install both of the "Photo Retouching" and "Collage" apps to enable these features]

Known bugs and errors/Force close(FC)

1) NO smart pause, smart scroll, air gesture, and air view. For video, you can pause the video by turning over your device. [Air call-accept feature added]
2) Camera not working in Drama, Animated photo, Eraser, Panorama, Dual camera, and video recording mode. Force close after you enabled dual camera and video.
3) Internet FC when you hit the "Downloads" option in the menu. PS: Download is still available. Download directory: My files -> Device storeage -> Download.[Solved]
4) Setup wizard force close when you are direct to the WiFi setting menu (only once) after changing language [For black themed settings will cause FC once but the white themed settings will NOT]
5) S Health FC after you enter the user data. [Solved]
6) Optical reader FC after a few scan. Due to resolution and compatible problem, pointer will not be accurate and you need to point to the upper left of the words that you want to define.[Solved]
7) Leaning store, Games store, Movie store and Book store is not available due to the Samsung service and support.[Solved]

Useful Tips and Guides

1) Press and hold the toggle on the notification panel to go into the quick setting menu directly.
2) SuperSU can be directly grant permission access by go through the Setting -> Access and as well as disable the toast notification.
3) Some of the Samsung Apps shortcut can be created by open the Samsung Hub -> hit the menu button and select "Add shortcut to home".

Q&A

1) How to install?

Do it at your own risk. Remember to do a nandroid backup before going further.
You need a rooted Samsung Galaxy S3 International(GT-I9300) with stock android v4.2.2 leaked, boot into recovery mode, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, and wipe battery stats. Then, choose "Install zip from SDcard", located your zip file and start install this rom. I recommend not to change the default selection of apps when you prompt to "choose apps to install"(Reason: To decrease the RAM usage while you may install it from Play Store, Samsung Apps Store or others third party store.)

2) Why I don't have all the apps?

You can download from the link attach in the Download Links section below.

3) Why some of the apps not shown in the app drawers?

Some of the apps is just a link to the main app and provide shortcut within the main app. For example: Gallery app can link to Collage app and it only available when you select multiple pictures and hit the menu button. Under menu, there is an option to "Create collage".

4) How can I get the Travel Wallpaper for my lockscreen?

You can set it by press and hold on empty space of your home screen to get to the instant setting menu or hit the menu button on home screen -> Select wallpaper or go into Settings -> My device -> Display -> Wallpaper -> Lock screen. For the pop up setting menu, choose "Travel Wallpaper" to enable it.

5) How to change to the default S3 camera?

You can download the "Other apps" zip file included in the Download Links section below. The default S3 camera and Nexus 4 camera is included in this zip file. Just extract and replace the apk in system/app.

6) Why I can't paste the files given to system/app?

It is due to the limited size of system partition which break down your paste operation to system. You can manually delete the apk from here and make sure you are remount the system to rewritable (R/W) before modify the system apk and files.

7) I use My Files, but I can't go into system/app?

You can use Root Explorer or other file manager to browse to these system files and you need to grant permission for these apps to modify your system.

8) Why I get this notice "Your system is modify, system update is unavaible..." when I enable "System update" from notification panel?

This is due to the SuperUser apk which has modify your system kernel and it is preinstalled in this Rom. If you want to unroot your device, then you need to go into SuperSU app and fully unroot it using the setting option in it.

9) When I choose to install certain recommended apps like dictionary from Optical Reader, the Samsung Apps give me this message "Product does not exist in this store(4002)"?

This is because there are some specific apps which are mainly distribute for S4 users only.

10) Why the S Memo do not sync memo from my Google and Samsung account?

S Memo in this rom only can sync memo that are created by using this version only.

11) Group Play in this Rom does FC or not?

All of the functions are working now including music sharing.

12) How to install the apps in "Other apps" included in the "Download Links" section?

Extract zip to SD card and install it as a normal app.

  2. S4 apps & widgets: Select ALL if you want all those functions...
  3. Google Apps: Select ALL, Except Google Keyboard, you can download it from Play Store or download from OP and install as normal app.
  4. Black or White?: Choose ONE ONLY for EACH type, this is System App, (e.g. choose either Black Calculator or White Calculator)
  5. Lock screen Light effect: Choose ONE Effect ONLY...If you just want to keep it as stock, then just let it in default selection.
  6. Center clock mod: Tick on "White Center Clock" to enable clock shown in center position...If you not choosing anyone of it, then it will be stock clock in right corner...Choose "Restore" in case you have install the mod and want to revert to stock right corner...
  7. Battery Mod: Choose ONE only, either ale.gu mod or mod by jkay or new circular green mod...If you not choosing anyone of it, then it will be stock original animated battery icon...Choose "Restore" in case you have install the mod and want to revert to stock...
  8. Accuweather widget: Choose ONE only, either Original or transparent or animated transparent widget...
  9. Camera: Choose ONE between S4 and S3, for Nexus Camera or Lenovo SuperCamera, you can select it if you want it...
  10. Build.prop tweak: MUST Choose ONE, Default for better battery usage (Recommended)
  11. Ad Block: MUST Choose ONE, Recommend to choose block all Advertisement...
  12. Wallpaper Scroll On: If you want to enable wallpaper to scroll, then choose "Enable Scroll", If you not choosing anyone of it, then it will be stock non-scrolling wallpaper...Choose "Restore" in case you have install the mod and want to revert to stock (non-scrolling)...
  13. Others: Choose anyone of it...
  PS: Inside Aroma, on choosing apps preference screen, the apps or group title that mark with " * " symbol means you MUST need to install them for the first installation.
• During Samsung Setup Wizard, YOU MUST SIGN IN to Google Account to overcome the Smart Briefing Widget FC (Home page 1 widget - White background widget)
• First thing to do after finish Samsung setup wizard: Open SuperSU, drag to right to go to setting, then change "Default access" to [Grant] and uncheck "Show notifications" checkbox. Secondly, open Air Call-Accept to activate Air Call-Accept feature...

After some hour of usage, I can see this is a good and stable rom. The Aroma installer is simple to use, but the first boot installer crashed and a widget is not working (I forgot wich one in the second or third page), but the rest is very good.
I'll test the battery usage in this days, but the base is solid, so I don't think this will give us issues.

You can go to settings > my device > sound > volume and adjust all the slider to the left until you are satisfy with volume...
