All file should be downloaded?
Basically the update.zip and data_channel.zip should be sufficient.
(best way would be to use data file first for dload and then update.app as in case your phone is rooted and TWRP installed, installing the update.app will replace the recovery. if you do the data first, it will be fully flashed via twrp and then you can use update.app but in any case update.app will replace your custom recovery to stock and phone will be unrooted too.)

Has anyone updated to new April update?
I just updated. The About in settings app reports that the security patch level is now March 1st. I honestly think the frequency of the security patches is actually pretty good compared to most phones out there since we have been getting a new security patch every one or two months. I think that's probably more important than having Oreo now, but with a new security patch only say every seven months.

Who said that Huawei's April update (or any other vendor's) SHOULD be NEWER than March patch level? The story goes like this: Google releases the March security update for the Android open source code. By the time Huawei integrates this code into its source base, tests it, and then releases it, at least a month will pass. Does it not make sense to everyone?

PS: in English language we use "you" not "u"

Guys, I'd assume it'd be better to make a new thread regarding the tracking of released updates, if you'd like to keep speaking about.

Overall because, 1 - as thread title says, this is a topic about the Oreo update for Honor 6X.
2 - there is already a database in way to keep track of incoming/released updates, and it's @ http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database

Something like 20 pages of this thread are about various monthly updates, and that's off-topic.

Let's try to keep the content of this thread inherent to its title :)
