you need correct drivers,this one won't work.Needs to be mediatek da vcom usb driver not mtk usb.

there is a way to insta unlock Redmi note 9 or any mediatek device. Use mtkclient tools.

Installation instructions are on the github page. make sure you have latest python installed and while installing, make sure you have add to path checked.
first install mediatek com port drivers :- https://www.mediafire.com/file/b1xjnx3mj7b7f8y/MTK_USB_All_v1.0.8.zip/file
and usbdk :- https://github.com/daynix/UsbDk/releases/download/v1.00-22/UsbDk_1.0.22_x64.msi
then download the zip :- https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient from github, extract it, open powershell in the mtkclient extracted directory and type
python --version
or
python3 --version
if you get a valid reply like Python 3.9 or etc, you are good to go.
make sure you are in the mtkclient folder
then
pip3 install -r requirements.txt
after that is done, type
'python mtk_gui' or pyhton3 mtk_gui
it will open an app
switch off your phone
when the app is running on your pc
hold all the 3 hardware buttons
volume up + volume down +power button and connect your phone to pc
then it should detect your phone if it doesnt, then reinstall drivers.
after connecting,
head to flash tab in the app and click unlock bootloader option on bottom right. it will show a progress bar.
once done, remove our phone and power on.
you should see unlocked logo at boot.
voila , you insta unlocked your mediatek device.

Hi @Kaustubh Mishra and welcome to XDA. I've deleted your duplicate reply (the one replying to @VD171), and copy/pasted VD171's post it was replying to, to your first reply to the other user. As with many things in technology, there are several ways to reply to multiple users in the same post.

• You can click the "+ Quote" button at the bottom of each post you want to reply to, and then at the bottom of each page in the blank area meant for you to post a new message, click "Insert quotes...", then you can click "Quote messages" in the pop-up dialog.
• Instead of using the "+ Quote" method, you can click the "Reply" button at the bottom of the first post you want to reply to, and then you can find the second post you want to reply to and click "Reply" on that one too. This will add quotes of both messages (and users) to your reply.
• You can also simply tag a user by typing the @ symbol, followed by the user's name. XDA will suggest usernames as you start typing one, at least after 3-4 characters.

There are further nuances that could help but I don't want to give you too much information at one time. It is also perfectly fair to reply to the second user to quote their post, and tell them to see the reply you wrote in the immediately preceding message.

As we all know, we can not restore the IMEI for SLOT1.
But as we are already tired of seeing, every day are several people with this same problem.
So we are opening this thread to discuss possibilities for how to recover the IMEI for SLOT1 too.
If you have any idea or discovered something, share with us so we can discover new possibilities, methods and solutions.

Possible Method # 1:​

This method was released by HALABTECH. This method was tested by @jasmin811
The idea is simple. Flash the ENGINEERING ROM, write the IMEI in META MODE and then flash the CUSTOM ROM: PixelPlusUI or PixelExperience.
Steps:
#1. Flash the ENGINEERING ROM:
