i have similiar problem. my usb port is broke and need to return. when i transfer the ruu signed.nbh file to sd card and change name to leoimg.nbh. then power up the phone with volume button down, the tricolor screen comes on and for a milisecond the gray screen comes up but then reverts back to tricolor and nothing happens. i have tried 2 different 16 gb cards with same results, i have even tried it on 2 different hd2s. maybe its the stock rom i am using to get the file from. can you post link to a known working stock rom. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you can, then get hold of a 1 or 2GB micro SD Card and try the flash on that as smaller cards are always recommended for flashing over bigger size cards.
Which stock Rom did you download? What version of HardSPL do you have on your phone? Enter bootloader to check the version. Any Rom should flash via micro SD Card as long as you have HardSPL.

i am using the latest hyperdroid rom and its great. i have excellent battery life. i am using v2.12 radio and my phone was at 51% monday evening...this morning at 8 oclock it was at 1%...i have one issue. in the changelog for the rom it says the dialer was updated and multidpi support added. the dialer is a little too small for me. i changed the dpi to 220 but its still a lil small. does multidpi for the dialer mean i can change just the dpi settings for the dialer? also is the calculator themable? A good thing to practice...whenever i fully charge my phone i turn it off and pull the battery out for a a couple seconds...then put it back in an boot up... i have tremendous battery life with this rom. thanks

Look for an SD Android rom build in the section. Then follow that devs install instructions, its fairly easy to do. =)

what you need is a sd card android version to run using haret. if you are into gingerbread, americanandorid is my favourite. fast, stable and lots of customisation options available. (link below)..read instructions. its rather easy to install the sd card version. enjoy.

Introduction:
To run any Linux based user space on a device -this includes android, debian, ubuntu, openembedded, etc- you need a working Linux kernel.
This thread discusses the development on Linux kernel and user space on the HTC HD2.
All android ports to windows phones are based on the efforts of porting the Linux kernel to these devices. This is what all the porting is about. Nobody is porting Google Android to these phones. It works already.
Contributing:
This is not a secret club. All source code and development information is publicly available. Everybody who is willing to contribute is free to join the development process.

Markinus started the initiative by introducing our present HD2 specific changes in the EVO4G release kernel source code. Right now the htc-msm-2.6.32 branch is still more advanced. We might create an autobuild for the EVO4G base kernel in case it will be superior at some point.

Global notes:
*None of the current releases will touch your internal flash. After restart you are back in the usual winmo.
*When Linux is booted, windoes mobile is shutdown abruptly. Although this is very rare it can cause some data loss. Please save your work and make frequent backups!
*You need at least a 2.08 radio rom version installed on your HD2. If yu have an older version you might not be able to boot Linux.

The Linux kernel is the core element of your operating system. It contains most of the drivers. It is supplied in form of a compressed (gzipped) executable binary Image. Along with an initial rootfilesystem aka initrd it is loaded into memory and executed by the bootlaoder HaRET.
Most recent Linux kernel modules to match zImage-htcleo-latest (has bcm4329.ko)

Kernel modules are drivers that are not included in the zImage. They go seperately in .ko files. bcm4329.ko holds the wifi driver and tun.ko is needed for tunneling. For android use you must extract the modules.tgz file, search for the .ko files you need and copy them into /system/lib/modules/ directory. See FAQ for how to copy files into your android install.
HaRET (bootloader)
HaRET.exe
The haret bootloader is used to start Linux according to the instructions it reads from the file default.txt . If HaRET sees a file called startup.txt it will use this instead and boot Linux directly without any prompt.

Hi I hope that no one hates me for posting the same question again but I noticed for cotulla there is a patch and I have downloaded it. The only thing is I am not sure how to install the patch. Does anyone have any idea how? I put it in the root directory but noticed no change.
Is there a certain program or folder that I should move the patch into? Any help would be great thanks.1
