This is really a question for the thread of the ROM you're using. Having said that, there's not enough info here to judge. Backups are the first thing you should do before updating, that way you can go back if something goes wrong. The only thing I can say is that if you'd flashed DFE before and were running unencrypted, you need to flash it again before rebooting. You may have to mount the vendor partition before flashing DFE. You may also need to flash whatever you used to get root again. You can do this after rebooting if you notice you've lost root. Good luck!Hi, recently I just rooted my Poco F1. currently it auto-installed the update for Xiaomi Poco F1 and prompting me to restart. Can I proceed to do a restart, will it cause any bootloop or the will be back to unroot status? i did not make any backup previously. Please advise.
Depends. If you used DFE, it's possible that you may either be bootlooped or it'll ask you to Clear data. Or one other possibility is that you just lose twrp and root. If that happens then just reflash twrp via adb and install magisk via TwrpHi, recently I just rooted my Poco F1. currently it auto-installed the update for Xiaomi Poco F1 and prompting me to restart. i agree but it should be noted what i wrote in the previous post as well, because it is not obvious for everyone. There is no need to use DFE since beginning of 2019. It's old. Stop using it. 0 situations where it's needed. Mods need to start banning anybody that mentions it.
He is not the maintainer. Move on and download this :You are the maintainer of TWRP Poco F1 device. Please release the official 3.4.0 TWRP for beryllium (Poco F1). Some other low end device are already got it.
If he does that, it will be a precedent. Furthermore, the last official Poco TWRP had some minor bugs for a long time, and unofficial ones have fixed it a long time ago.For the sake of clarity would it not be better if @Dees_Troy could officially put it on

That the support status is inactive and maybe there are no maintainers currently (actively) maintaining beryllium?
I have only respect for @Dees_Troy for beautifully maintaining the device up to 3.3.0.0 but since he may be busy and the device itself is old as of now and there have been no development or update to it since a while, I just felt it would be more honest to spill the beans out that the device is EOL already.
As of now, no official continued support for official TWRP of a device which is still getting plethoric support for custom ROMs and kernels obviously is a precedent. And my view still stands as I'm purely seeking clarity regarding the details of the OFFICIAL TWRP, not unofficial ones which obviously weren't maintained by @Dees_Troy.If he does that, it will be a precedent. There's only one way to remove encryption and it requires to format data(formate everything incl. Internal storage)How can I quit Encrypt data? I have this TWRP install on my Pocophone F1
