In theory- we have two antennas working on quite different bands. I was just wandering... 60 GHz requires directional antenna. And needs to be precisely pointed to make effect without killing the battery. WiFi does better distance with weaker signals. Now, I have read a thing or two about those but haven't found any ideas about combining signals. Frequencies do alter one another ALOT. I know that because I own analogue synthesizer. Using Low Frequency Oscillator player can change the pitch and even strength of higher frequency. Newer synths do that with software. I mean... I haven't found anyone exploring that on mobiles so far. And this is one of first toys to have multiple band casting ability. Using proper harmonics on one, second signal caster could boost signal. In theory. This works for lower and higher source, but lower alters higher one more efficiently. Results should be interesting and I am eager to read more about this.
Makes sense to me. Unfortunately is probably also a FCC violation. Not that I abide by rules or anything 8). But I'd definitely be interested in whether that theory would work with the specific phone. Heck, I'd be interested if data transmission is possible or h***able for this radio- I'd be surprised if it wasn't. Why would it be useful to me? I'm sure I could find one.

edit: technically it can hold 1tb in each slot. 200gb is just the current biggest card.

Subscribed to the thread. I put in a pre-order right after it was announced, cancelled when it was delayed, and re-ordered last week after they confirmed the shipping date. I'll continue to be skeptical until I have it in my hand and it works as described. I think at this point it's a short enough wait that getting a refund via visa/mastercard if it doesn't ship or doesn't work shouldn't be a problem and the specs and price still trump everything else on the market. The S6 dropped their sd-card support and waterproofing, while the new G4 is priced even higher and also lacks the waterproofing.
What I'm most interested to see here on XDA will be the adding of a Saygus V^2 forum and rom development for it. :good:

A little tidbit I picked up from their support recently. The V^2 is supposedly using The new Sony 230 Exmor RS™ IMX230 sensor. No word yet on the lenses/aperture.

Not until the phone released I'm thinking.

I have already addressed this. Look back for my post

This chart has bad data about saygus.
It's also from January. Most all device spec sites, offers the same. These specs come from the pre-released device showcased at different venues.

My post did say "Good" not Exact:good:

I got a miracast dongle that really sucks. Im hoping that there will be a reasonably priced wihd dongle that also supports miracast. For the other devices I have that don't support wihd.

I been lusting after the oculus rift, thinking about buying it. On their site it shows off the samsung gear which is a VR that only uses the galaxy note 4. I was thinking that the V2 phone would be a perfect basis for VR tech. With note 4 you got to latch it on and hook it up with a cable. But with v2's wihd, just turn it on. With the 4k video capabilities, the 21 mp front camera, and the big storage, this thing is almost made for VR and augmented reality. Whats anyones thoughts on my imagination? Only thing i can think could make this not so possible is the screen size. (read through google cardboard, the screen of the v2 is sufficient in size)

Sorry, someone may have posted it before.

Why do you choose Saygus V2?
For me, I like screen size 5", Removable Battery & mAh, MicroSD, RAM and Internal Storage, Cameras, Body & Material, Speakers.

A high end device with screen size 5 and front speakers in as small a case as possible. All the other amazing specs are a bonus.
Awaiting the first positive reviews and deliveries before putting my order in though.

The 5-inch screen was the first thing that caught my attention, then the internal storage size, the dual front speakers, and the big battery (with the alleged 50% battery savings chip). The dual micro SD cards aren't that important to me because after I got the Moto X (2013) I realized that most of the storage I had on SD cards was ROM's and nandroid backups, but they will be nice to have in case I fall off the flashaholic wagon. Getting the Moto X (2014), and using the Nexus 5, helped me realize that the perfect screen size for me is 5-inches. I think the dimensions of this phone will be perfect at 137mm x 67mm it sits right between the OG Moto X and the N5; which is the sweet spot for me. I'm not concerned about the thickness. Anything below 10mm is good, and it gives you a little side grippage to hang on to that phone. I'm super excited to get this phone. I ordered some bare Qi coils to play with, and I need to get a waterproof micro SD card. My son is a junior Olympic diver, and its cool to follow a diver underwater with a camera ( I did it with a Sony Xperia Z3 compact).

I hope Saygus gives us some relevant updates today. Yes, we are ready, and we know there's 17 days until shipping. I want to see dual boot work, the fingerprint scanner function, and to see it actually take a picture (underwater too).

This is what I consider the main advantages of V2 compared to most other flagship phones:

1. Removable battery, and hopefully a better batterylife than other phones like S6 or M9.
2. Root capability (even if I don't know exacty what this means)
3. A clean Android version without bloatware and skins like touchwiz.
4. Possible to use as a gaming console with WiHD + a bluethoot controller.
5. Support for External SD-cards.
6. I think the size is ideal, not too big like many other phones.
7. Robustness, seems to be durable, solid, waterproof, not bendable and so on.

The only possible downside I see with V2 compared to other flagships is that it might be slower, given the older processor. But hopefully it will not be a big difference in real life performance.

Yes, forgot to mention in precious post. The first time to come in my mind is 5 inch screen. I am currently using Moto X 2013 (4.7") and I tried to hold my friends' 5.2" device and it is too big for my Asian hands.

Unfortunately, my understanding of WiHD is that the signal is very directional. As such it may be difficult to maintain a consistent connection if used with VR since you would be moving your head around.

1. Removable battery AND SD. These are must.
2. Developer friendly options: alternative OSs bootability,
3. Good RAM (very important for android)
4. 5" size and front, good speakers.
5. Disputable signal enhancement on the back cover, bunch of sensors - these give a lot of practical usage options.
6. All the other trinkets are welcomed. WIHD, good camera, watter resistance, quality built, fingerprint sensor, NFC, hard glass screen...

These are my priorities.
Under 6- I can live without, but are most welcomed.
Under 1. I don't see the phone as a proper android without these. These are blackmailing tools for companies and should be left for iPhone users only: battery because of limited usage- which MAKES me pay expensive service, SD for limited data which MAKES me store my infos and preferences on horrible "cloud" or similar other peoples servers. This kind of "service" should be banned legally.
Under 3. and 4. - very important, and I would consider buying cheaper phones for these if only they weren't all MTK developer- closed structured.
