Sorry, someone may have posted it before.

Why do you choose Saygus V2?
For me, I like screen size 5", Removable Battery & mAh, MicroSD, RAM and Internal Storage, Cameras, Body & Material, Speakers.
Really the biggest thing for me is the simple fact the base unit alone has 64 GB of ROM. At this point in time, that's ample storage for me by itself. Having the ability to add SD cards up to 200 GB in size is huge for the future. I'll probably just start out with another 64 GB microSD card and add from there as things fill up.

Rear camera with good resolution and ability is a must for me. Tired of taking crappy pictures with a subpar phone I have.

Front facing speakers is a plus. Tired of cupping my hand around the back of my current phone so I can hear what the audio is.

5" screen, the right size! Not too small, not a phablet.

WiHD will be pretty cool and I look forward to being able to do PP presentations right from my phone, no more laptop or USB Disk to a projector.

Does anyone know what the plug style will be on the WiHD dongle, (i.e., HDMI, CoAX-oragne, RCA-yellow component or RCA-BGY composite)?

Seriously thought Saygus would've provided an update by now? It's been crickets from them for a week now? No leaks, no info, nothing. The silence is painful!

Unfortunately, my understanding of WiHD is that the signal is very directional. As such it may be difficult to maintain a consistent connection if used with VR since you would be moving your head around.
The positional tracker on the Oculus rift (development kit 2) is directional as well and must be placed in front of you. But you're right, after thinking about it-- the WIHD wouldn't give the V2 a big advantage among other phones. However there are other things that would give this phone a significant advantage.

Could create a new kickstarter and call it the WIHD Oculus Rift Belt Accessory. The buckle is a WIRELESSHD receiver that connects to the rift by hdmi cable. Course would need an oculus rift that supports android other than the note 4 (gear vr)

In no particular order:
  • Screen Size: 5" is the max that I can do one-handed usage.
  • MicroSD slots: Switch out media as desired. Two at that!
  • Removable Battery: Allows for extended battery.
  • Good CPU+RAM Combo: The "second gen" 801 with 3GB RAM is great. Newer Snapdragons seem to have major overheating and throttling issues.
  • Developer Options: Root and unlocked bootloader out of the box!
  • Boot from microSD: I'm not much of a ROM-a-holic, but being able to try other ROMs without having to flash over my main ROM would be great.

I do wish the phone had capacitive menu keys along the bottom though.

  • HOT bootable
  • Waterproof/Durability
  • Fractal Antenna
  • GSM AND CDMA
  • Two SD slots
  • Battery Life
  • Average Screen Size
  • Camera Quality and Shutter Button

Removable battery is a must in a phone I choose, so any phone that does not have this capability is not even recognized by me.

More than any 1 feature I like the combination but...

Battery life
Great Cameras (physical camera button is an excellent choice)
Durability

I expect it to be an HDMI connector for video (and power, if TV/screen supports it) and a micro USB plug for power via USB of the (smart-)TV or via standard USB charger.

Bad news first: The Twitter person will be away for some more weeks. Hopefully they will find a solution for this soon. The silence is very depressing and killing... :(
At least they are on schedule for May 22nd, as I've heard today. I'll will keep you posted, if there are any recent news. ;)

It's quite interesting to me, how different the use cases and priorities of the features are. Personally I don't think about a specific killer-feature, it's more the perfect 'feature-cocktail' that's fascinating me. But I have to admit... replaceable battery and microSD slots are a must-have for a smartphone. :D
Have you ever thought about expanding your V²'s screen via WiHD to an external screen? I'm thinking about doing a presentation and having a clock/timer and notes on the device's screen and the actual slides on the wall/TV. That would be awesome!

Saygus should hire or appoint someone for Twitter update. They should be teasing us now because Device is going to be released.
Need to update accessories on their website too so that we can order now and able to ship together with or the same week with V2.

As I said before... I can't believe they have (had) only one person capable of posting twitter updates. Chad should be posting updates from China.
Thanks for your positive suggestion!
I see your point, but Chad is way to busy to handle the Twitter thing himself. They should probably offer a part-time job to one of the community people or hire a social media professional.

There is no need to order the accessories extra. They will provide you the ability to add them to your existing pre-order. ;)
I'll get back to you, as soon as I've got some more details on this.

andreas, you should be the one updating twitter :D
Yeah, maybe this will be a possible solution. I'm going to discuss this option with Saygus within the next days.

Interesting that you say Chad is to busy. He hasn't been to busy to make YT vids up until recent.

Chad could easily appoint someone to the task of PR.

Chad went to China... Why is there no published ... anything from there? Publicity photos, chatter on the interwebz etc.

They have a 24/7 support chat now, however most of their recent replies seem to be canned answers.

Chad is not way to busy to see another project fail, is he?

I think twitter is banned in China.

I thought the idea of Twitter was just to put latest updates of people daily lives. You see movie stars and singers and sports people doing it all the time. Your not telling me that every single one of them has someone else tweeting for them. Chad could put in just a little update every 4 days as opposed to every day. So the way I see it there's no excuse.
