Storage unit

After I checked Saygus office on Google (2010 images), I found it has more than 10 rooms and also seems to have not less than 25 employees.
I'm currently having questions to a business expert:
- How Saygus was able to manage paying those employees salaries and the rent of this well-furnished suite?
I remember when I checked Saygus website by the end of last year, I could not found any business or product, nor any software or project to sell on website. It was almost news page mentioning different stories.
- Did Saygus have any revenue along these years? from what?
There was a court decision that allowed a storage unit company to keep the contents of Saygus storage unit for non-payment. Items included desks, chairs, office equipment and computers. I think they closed up after V1 went belly up and restarted fresh on the V2.

I remember reading or seeing something along the lines of Chad having a lot of personal wealth due to real estate stuff (which made me wonder if he got rich at the expense of others in the whole housing market fiasco several years ago). So maybe he's funding this all out of pocket, or likely with business loans.

Nothing else compares yet

Thanks for the update Tony.
It's always good to get a bit of insight into what is causing the problem.
I have thought about jumping ship but up to now there isn't anything else out there which competes.
The G4 has the spectrum support, the removable battery and SDXC slot, but it isn't waterproof, and the camera is pretty basic.
Reading between the lines, I guess that this is an issue affecting a proportion of the phones manufactured, and that the problem was that the yield was too low, i.e. you couldn't be sure that all the phones coming off the line were of suitable quality, which leads to the need to test every phone which just makes the manufacturing process unsustainable.
Let's see how they go. I'd hope we're talking about a week or two if the interference issue is the only problem.

Someone else in the Facebook group posted the exact same ad that they saw in their Gmail inbox about 2 weeks ago. Not sure how long they've had the new marketing firm but it could be from them.

I was mostly being sarcastic, but it is the first advertisement I've seen from them that I didn't have to seek out.

So anyone care to speculate on the price of the back covers?
====
May I say personally I don't like the idea that they won some innovation award(s) with no evidence of a working device. Can I just make a spec sheet with some really high specs and non-existent technology and get an award for my Boomfone?

Someone went to Saygus to talk to them. An update...take it with grain of salt

There's an interesting point in the posters' previous post... --> h t t p : / / w w w .reddit.com/r/Android/comments/35rvw2/just_met_with_the_ceo_of_saygus_thought_id_share/

They are announcing something (also couldn't tell me what) around June 15th that will be an option for the V2 with about a $50 increase in price. (Over the current ~$600 price). They said that if I buy the V2 and like the new option, I can walk in and swap it out.
I'm intrigued at what that could be...there was a tweet by Saygus prior to this second shipping catastrophe that mentioned some sort of big announcement in the middle of June. God I hope it's a processor upgrade...Snapdragon 808 would be awesome.

I wonder how many times Chad's going to say he knows the communication has been lousy and feels bad about it. I swear that's like the third time I've seen that he said that. Would mean a lot more if he actually acted on it and changed/improved their communication. As I said before, I can deal with and have understanding for delays and complications, but only if their upfront about it and keep us up to date. They screwed up with the manufacturing process, but where they really dropped the ball was not explaining what was going on. I'd be tempted to call and talk with Chad myself to drive this point home except he either realizes it already and doesn't care, or he doesn't realize it, in which case there's no hope.

I'm personally fine with the 801, as it's plenty fast for most things and doesn't have the issues the newer ones have. The only reason I'd really care for a processor upgrade is to go 64-bit for 4GB RAM. One thing I don't get is people complaining about paying so much for a phone with an old, outdated processor. Considering how high-end all the other specs are, the fact the phone is waterproof and very open, and the uniqueness of it, I'd say even with the 801 it's still a hell of a deal compared with the other phones that cost a couple hundred dollars more with much less storage and battery capacity and the processor being the only part that's really any better (if it is, considering, again, the issues with the 810 and to a lesser extent the 808).

The wihd receiver they're using is from www.dvdo.com

Never saw this before.
If this is true... the WiHD receiver there is... $190 or so. I mean, yeah, that includes a transmitter, but even if we assume that's half the price, you might be hard pressed to lower than price down to the $50~$60 people here seem to think they'll get it for...
