Saygus clarified on Twitter that it does not have an FM transmitter, but it does have an IR transmitter.
Obviously, when he's not busy forming aliases, Mr. Hill is hard at work forming a perception that he is actually a legitimate business man by forming "paper" companies that are merely nothing more than a webpage. Why else would he avoid the Better Business Bureau (BBB)? A business like his would surely benefit from participation with the BBB, since becoming a member would show a support for and willingness to engage in ethical business practices. Right? Doubtedly. These hollow entities are referred to as "Smythe & Wesson" and "Colt Ledger & Associates," but make no mistake, there are no associates. Try looking for a physical address, fax number, or phone number for these so-called businesses and all you'll find is a PO Box, an online questionnaire, and a myriad of VOIP numbers that ring a single cell phone, undoubtedly in Tomkinsville, KY.
Several Nokia models had it.I've never heard of an FM transmitter being included in any smartphone
Sorry Dad, I did read the forum rules and never saw that mentioned. Since we are making up rules as we go along I decided to add another option to the multiple choice:you have two choices:
1. wait and see
2. get a refund and piss off
Unless you are Saygus then I don't think this is actually your call.3. Make a noise and TRY to get information so I/we can make an informed decision on the above two options.
Just to clarify what was on the Saygus Indiegogo page in case people missed it:... it was important to find the most immediate avenue available to them to leverage whatever they could to increase cash on hand, and this cash was basically being thrown at them. indiegogo people are the ultimate risk takers with this situation, basically a big gamble. they are owed nothing at this point. i guess there is a good chance they put preorder funds into the campaign, also, as some have mentioned. as saygus says on the indiegogo page,
Agreed emphatically. But just to clarify:This complete and utter lack of communication on the shipping dates is comical, reminds me of "The Cone of Silence" on Maxwell Smart where it always turns out for the worst.
They must have known weeks before 22nd May they were going to miss the shipping dates (or did they magically have the necessary certifications on an unfinished phone?), and they continue their lies until today.
Now they have started a new campaign and we seem to have lost importance as the new campaign brings in a wave of new and enthusiastic customers (indiefunders) with all sorts of stupid requests - can we have a phablet, can you put all hte buttons on the other side, can you make another fundamental change that'll take months to re-engineer - and Saygus respond to all these "fools" hoping to score some more "fools" gold. And yet they constantly ignore us, the original customers who really do deserve a lot better from them.
Yup...agree with this too.Nice summary of events. I couldn't agree more and I totally empathize.
But be careful, there is a whole host of lurkers that will come out of the bushes any second now to tell you to STFU for not limiting your posts to positive blurbs about Saygus. I could forgive the previous amateurism as soon as they start acting like professionals. And the first step for a turn around is to accurately estimate a timeline and release a schedule for the 1400 or so of us still left waiting. Especially when they told us after the last delivery shipment date past that they'd be shipping in weeks, not months. I don't think it is lying or a scam, I just think it is incompetence. Eventually they'll get it together but not without a bunch of continued bumbling first.
It was a misunderstanding on Saygus. The twitter person answered my question which was does the V2 have an FM transmitter? As on the factory fingerprint video about half way we see the icons in the V2 and one is FM radio and the other is FM tx. The twitter person said that it did have a transmitter and it worked great then said something about an FM party... I was kinda confused but went along with it as I had seen the FX tx icon. But then he said wait it's an FM receiver and not Transmitter...There is no FM Transmitter, it was a misunderstanding by another twitter poster, Saygus corrected straight away.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I suppose it is just as much an incorrect statement to stand up for them and insist it will come, as it is assume they are going to defraud people and call it vaporware.
In the end it comes down to the type of person you are, Trusting or Cynical.
I am an early purchaser, and if I couldn't afford to take this limited risk and wait for the handset, I would have asked for a refund and gone on my way.
Yes, they have not been the best communicators from the start but they are improving in leaps and bounds, all this waste-of-e paper speculation is pointless. you have two choices:
1. wait and see
2. get a refund and piss off
Either way this endless speculation is getting juvenile and boring, at the end you will either look a tit when I get my phone, or I will when I don't.and it is a risk I am willing to take for the spec's on offer.
It seems the race is on! Who will get their phone out first?Ahh well only Nokia had that luxury.
Because I for one originally Pre-Ordered.. Not Crowd funded...I don't understand some of you, guys.
Of course, all of us would like to hold this phone in our hands - the sooner, the better. And some of you are really p***d due the ongoing delay of the assumed delivery date.
But.. this is normal for such projects. If I compare to other crowdfunding campains (for example SCiO, the have shifted the delivery date until now for more than 9 Months).
I don't understand, why you ugly around that much!
I didn't see any warning or notifications about ship dates slipping or conversion to crowd funding 4 months down the road when I ordered either. And I'm sure that someone will chime in to say well you should have known better since they were a start up, buyer beware blah blah. Nope, I took them at their word that they could and would do what they said.Because I for one originally Pre-Ordered.. Not Crowd funded...

Still waiting on mine as well from about that time..i reopened the ticket, and they told me they were forwarding the matter to their accounting department and to give it a couple days for them to respond. It's been a few days and still waiting, but I realize the weekend doesn't count, so I'll wait a bit more.I asked for the refund in 28th May, and I still got nothing.
They ignore my e-mails, my tickets, my tweets.
THEY ARE JUST THIEVES!!!!!
They don't want to give our money back. I think all who said in this forum, that they got their money back, they was saygus employees, who want to mislead us, and to make us trust in Saygus.
Don't trust them!!!!
