Have pre-ordered one of these. They say they can make 2,000 phones a week and the ship date is 6-8 weeks from now, so end March time is the target.

My order number is between 1,000 and 1,500, so fingers crossed!

It actually tells you the number of orders when you pre order? I'm still debating. I really really want it, but I'm concerned with actually getting it with 8 weeks...

I was just given an order number. I don't know if I should attach any meaning to the number, but I am certainly tempted to see it as indicating where I am in the queue, especially as Saygus say the following in their T&Cs (emphasis added):

"The Saygus V2 Device is expected to be ready to ship on or about March 30, 2015, subject to reasonable delays in manufacturing and/or delivery. Your Saygus V2 Device will be shipped in the order in which your pre-order is received by Saygus. Shipments will be made Monday – Friday, excluding holidays, unless otherwise noted."

Are you in the US? And how much is the shipping cost?

Did they actually bill your credit card or are they just holding it until the device ships?

Don't see any mention of it, I've been with the same CC company for years and never late payment, they will work with me if nothing happens by mid April.

Are there any options to cancel your pre order and get money back? Like if it ended up taking forever.
From their Terms & Conditions:
9. Cancellation
If purchaser wants to cancel a Pre-Order or otherwise does not agree to these terms and conditions, Donor must notify Saygus in writing within 30 days of the applicable Pre-Order. Upon receipt of written notice of cancellation, Saygus will cancel the Pre-Order and the purchase will be fully refunded. No Cancellations will be accepted later than 30 days of Pre-Order.

No, UK. "Shipping options will be provided to you via email when your order is ready to ship." So, I don't know how much the shipping will be..

Here are the full T&Cs

Did they actually bill your credit card or are they just holding it until the device ships?
The payment hasn't shown up on my credit card account yet, but there has been no statement from Saygus that they will refrain from billing me until shipment, so I expect they will bill me soon.

Just searched through Google to find more about this phone. A lot of mystery and questions must be revealed and answered before placing the order.

I found this video by android authority in which that the display Saygus V2 cannot open the camera app by saying "cannot connect to camera". Dunno if it's a bug in prototypes or because only the original kitkat was running, there is no adjustment or modifications to make these fascinating cameras work.

We see no sample photos taking by this phone so far, right?

Are developers taking notice of this phone? Will there be development once the phone hits the market? I really would really like to get this phone especially if there is some development for it.

This phone has TOP of the LINE specs, the only thing is that it has the SnapDragon 801 but other than that it's an impressive beast. Definitely a phone to consider until the true 64bit phones come out this fall...

Answers to some questions I found in this post:
I just bought the phone two days ago (Order # between 1500-2000).
Looks like they will give me shipping details early March.
They did take the money out of my bank account.

I had to have this phone the moment I heard about it. These are the reasons:

- Rooted out of the box, and boot from SD card. Every new phone I get I root it. This saves me that step.
- Killer battery. When I get a new phone I always buy the best battery available. I don't care if it makes my phone more bulky, battery is more important to me. Since I preregistered, I get a second battery and a screen protector.
- TO me, there is such thing as too big, and having a screen size greater than 5 inches is just mind boggling to me. I have a surface pro 3 tablet with me nearly all the time, so if I need screen size I get my tablet out. I also do not need greater than 1080 resolution. The screen size and quality is perfect for me.
- I'd love to see a phone manufacture from USA get into the game. If this company gets big, it means more money for economy. If I have to risk $500 bucks, then I'm fine with that. I've made more riskier investments.
- Water proof, and has kevlar. I pretty much BABY every device I get and that is stressful. I don't want a drop of rain to ruin my phone for good. This, I can drop it in a bucket of water, leave it there for several minutes, take it out and it will be fine (what they claim).
- Huge storage capabilities, powerful processor, _respectableish_ ram, powerful radios. I can't wait for end of March to come, it's like christmas.

I'm not being paid for this post.
