They will simply ship nicely printed specs sheet with the blank field for CPU details where you could put your own desired chip model.I have been quite polite about Saygus up until now, but ...
Saygus are now promising to ship the "first batch" of phones at the end of this year, and then to give a free exchange to a new version of the phone with a Snapdragon 820 at a later, unspecified date.
I think that is an offer that could be superficially attractive to some of Saygus's long-suffering customers, so I would just like to point out that there has to be a strong risk that none of this ever happens. In other words, the V Squared may not ship at all, and even if it does, customers may never see the promised upgrade.

Just sayin'.
Coming up for my first anniversary of "bail-out".yeah, kinda hard to believe that it's been close to 2 years now. i think there were close to 2,000 pre-order customers, the ones that bought in right at the start. i wonder how many of those are still onboard ?

LOL! Yeah, I can't imagine anyone believes a word they say after the hundredth time they've claimed their "review devices" are in. They haven't even fake-promised a shipping date yet, so I'm sure it will be another few months until they update their customers again.inb4 they cancel it after receiving "poor reviews"
Interesting... I'm always a bit baffled by Chad's interviews. His frankness in this article is a welcome change, but I always wonder why his company doesn't communicate this attitude more clearly to their customers.
Eleven letters.
Yeah, I don't see how that will ever happen... I don't think Saygus has the competence or the money to be able to give away free phones with a completely new chip that they have no experience with. This company's promises always smell strongly of the old saying, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.""The Snapdragon 801, as solid a CPU from Qualcomm as it is, is basically at the end of its life. Saygus promises a lofty, free exchange for V-Squared owners. Sometime after the current-spec model is released, those that pre-ordered will be able to trade in their V-Squared for a new device with beefier specs, namely a Snapdragon 820 CPU (same device, upgraded components)."
What an absolutely insane comical joke.
At this point, I don't see how these people aren't in prison yet. They've stolen millions.Yeah, I don't see how that will ever happen... When faced with another V2 delay back on May 21, 2015 Saygus tweeted "We are smartphone specialists who have launched many phones." It appears that all they have launched are refunds (with some delayed for months, according to posts). The handful of orders that remain can not possibly save this project. At this point, I don't see how these people aren't in prison yet. They've stolen millions.
