They just tweeted a bunch of useless drivel, but Andreas (dev dot erhard dot cc) has posted today that they passed the FCC and it should appear on the website in a few days. Of course, we've all heard that before.

Sure, sure. Next they'll promise they're actually shipping (because they've never said that before...)

LOLOLOLOL Their only recent tweet that is actually related to their phone is a retweet of themselves from JULY saying the phone is totally working with one of their classic "demonstration" videos. Haven't seen any more tweets about their supposed FCC approval, so my guess is Andreas is just speculating. Unless he still claims to have direct contact with Saygus and they tell him things they don't tell anyone else, which seems quite bizarre to me.

FCC Grants

Well, what do you know? Their FCC grants were posted yesterday for their fourth code, 2ANBZ. You can check the FCC site for the listing, which is interesting because if you look at their submitted docs you can view what looks like an early draft of the user manual and some device photos and test reports. Looks like things are moving along, for this already outdated phone... Who knows what will happen next? (My prediction is more delays and excuses, but I'd be happy if they surprised everyone and actually delivered something to the poor souls who are still waiting for a phone.)

Hello, here are months and no more talk about Saygus V2 plus we all have seen that FCC tests have passed well, so most of those who pre-ordered have received this smartphone or is going to receive, maybe tell us the impressions of it.
Thanks, sorry for my English.

You don't need to apologize--your English is pretty good! :)

The V2 "passed" a few FCC tests, but that doesn't mean that Saygus is ready for shipping yet. As far as I know, this phone has not shipped to anyone yet. They are currently claiming to be "very close" to shipping, and using words like "absolutely" and "definitely" on their twitter account, but we've all seen this kind of language from them before. We'll have to wait and see if they are telling the truth this time. Their phone is so outdated at this point, I'm not sure what good it will do them if they actually do ship.

I'm sure those who still held on to their preorders will share their thoughts here if they ever get the V2.

I'm sorry to correct you, but I haven't received any smartphone from Saygus yet. Otherwise you would have probably already read it on my website.
As soon as I have received mine, or anything else noteworthy happens, I'll post it there. ;)

I don't think Andreas received a Saygus V2, he got the domain name sayg.us to move his Saygus info onto.
Yep, you're right! Over the years that whole one-page thing has gotten quite confusing and since I've always just added single updates without any date, there is no real time relation of those posts except their order. That's why I decided to go for an own domain name and to restructure all contents. Another neat feature will be an RSS and Atom newsfeed, which hopefully will help you to keep track of my posts.
I hope you'll like it! :)

I'm still working on the last pages of my bachelor thesis right now, so please don't expect the relaunch to happen before mid/end of March. 2018 of course! :p

Greetings from Germany

I'm so sorry to be the one to tell you this, but prepare for the worst--you might not be able to get your money back. :( Indiegogo has really bad policies around refunds. Basically as soon as the campaign ends and the campaign creator has received the money, you can't get a refund from Indiegogo.

However, you still might be able to get a refund from Saygus.

I'll tell you what I did with my regular pre-order from their website (this was quite a few years ago at this point). What I did to get a refund was simply (without being rude or emotional) telling them that I no longer had faith that they would deliver a product on the promised schedule and would initiate a chargeback with my credit card company if I didn't receive a full refund in 5 business days. I emailed their support team and called them when I hadn't heard back in a day. They did eventually get back to me with a refund, but I would have followed through and called my credit card company if they hadn't. I'm not sure if you'd be able to threaten a chargeback since you paid the money to Indiegogo, but it might be a possibility. You might also get some attention if you complain with public tweets mentioning @SayGus.

Unfortunately, this might not work for you because of Indiegogo, but it's worth a try... Good luck!

Hi Félix,

please try to follow the regular path for a refund and open a ticket using saygus.com or email their customer support.
As far as my experience goes, this should work out pretty well.

If you haven't heard back from Saygus within a week or haven't received your refund within two weeks, please let me know. I'm not sure how Saygus' recent refund policy is, but all refund tickets I've heard of, have been finally payed back in the end.
