V2 Limiting The Compromise
For me at least, what sets the V2 (or should I say "THE HYPOTHETICAL PHONE FROM SAYGUS THAT MIGHT SHIP MAY 22") apart from other more recent flagships, isn't it's key specs, but the overall collection of what they've added. Yes there are phones with better key specs such as RAM, CPU and Screen Resolution. I won't put a ton of emphasis on the Snapdragon 801 vs 808 as that seems to be an area of great debate, Yes 808 may be a little better, but not generational leap, and with the problems on the 810 I think the 801 is perfect. Comparing it to other phones, do they have removable batteries? Some do, some don't. How about being waterproof? Then again some are, but then they don't have removable batteries. As far as screen resolutions goes, yes more pixels can marginally improve the screen's appearance, but if you can't see the screen in sunlight, wouldn't you rather a screen that looks almost as good 100% of the time? They seem to be really excited about WiHD, seeing as that sums up roughly 90% of the demos Saygus has given us so far. It will no doubt come in handy, and just adds one more extra feature that sweetens the deal. Cameras, I really hope they nail the software, hardware wise they have the best of the best to work with on both the front and back, along with OIS and a hardware shutter button to boot. Having one SD card slot on my next phone was a must for me, two is just a bonus. My current phone, a 16GB Xiaomi mi2 tells me daily that I am running out of space and, no you can't update that app cause you are out of room, I hope to never see a message like that ever again. Other features like the front facing speakers, Qi wireless charging, IR blaster, light sensors, fingerprint scanner, and triple microphones just add to an already amazing package. You can look at all the phones currently available and yes, you will find phones that have all these features, just not in one single package, thus you must compromise on something. For me, the V2 offers the least amount of compromise out of all current flagships available.
After reading my post I had a good laugh, people are going to probably rip on me as well claiming that I am a paid Saygus supporter. Think about it though, If I worked for Saygus how many typos would be in that post?
