That's awesome news, specially for T users, but also for S. That means an port will come for S soon.

@OP: Mind asking the guy who got the update for screenshots for the Status Bar and the Small Apps menu? I'm curious to see if there is anything new.

I've seen his EMMA screenshot and his device is a BROWN device with different keys on the DRM partition. This basically means it's impossible to get firmware from EMMA (unless it's someone with high-level access to EMMA) or other tools, and it's impossible to get firmware blobs.

It also means that, even if the firmware blobs were available, it wouldn't install on any regular RED device since the keys are different. There is no point to making an FTF.

All this means is that Sony is well on track to release the update as soon as possible, this is highly likely to be very close to the build we'll be receiving in a few weeks.

Surely this would work fine on any bootloader unlocked device? So getting these files dumped would be hugely helpful to a lot of people.

Just a simple adb pull /system would help too, until he can properly dump it.
And it doesn't need anything special, just enable USB-Debugging, connect to a pc and run the command.

This would probably help CM working on the Xperia devices quite a lot, by getting Wifi firmwares.

Well sure, a system dump would be nice and I think he's working on it. But the firmware itself is, for starters, not available in EMMA/SEUS/PCC and even if it was it wouldn't install - not even on bootloader unlocked devices (I think).

It's not possible to get the kernel without the .ftf or Sony's sources.
If you can get a pull of the system partition, it's possible to flash a modified (rooted) one using an unlocked bootloader via fastboot, and thus dd the kernel off the device.

Not via the Sony tools, but the ROM is just a set of partitions on the device. And if you can pull those, you can fastboot flash them to the device, once bootloader unlocked.

Otherwise you couldn't just go flashing CyanogenMod to a bootloader unlocked device...

Uhm... But nobody here is being impatient. What kind of access is available on the device? Obviously he can't dd it, unless root is available, but if the bootloader allows fastboot (which a brown device might manage), you should be able to flash a slightly modified system partition to gain root access.

To check, select a number from the keyboard * # * # 7378423 # * # *
read "* # * # SERVICE # * # *"

Select "Service Info"

Select "Software info"

I enter the number: Customization Version

can we have some more.

Very pretty please

1264-8811 R7I - but this is a CDA that is not available on public SEUS/PCC/EMMA servers so you can't actually do anything with it. You could try forcing OTA, but remember this is LT30at (with LTE), and OTA might not work either.

I have the CDA of LT30p (debug devices) with 9.1.A.0.438.
I tried to use US Pro / EMMA / PCC /OTA all failed.
so... for now we have no idea to get it use on 30p
