[Discussion] When do you think the custom roms will surpass miui?

i think right now there's no real custom rom that surpasses miui in performance or battery life, i honestly hate miui but every other rom i go to is worse in (only) these two category's,
do you think custom roms will surpass miui eventually?
also this is from my experiences so far so if you have a suggestion for a rom or a rom+kernel combo i'd like to hear them (and try them).

I'm using OOS beta 10 from one plus 6T ( after Miui eu, global, Lineage, Miroom, etc and i really like it, very fluid, good battery, fast charging time. Gcam, ANX and IR camera working as they should. So I'm pretty good with this one.
Waiting for a new update on OOS from one plus 7, because for the moment has some bugs.

I find this thread really odd, to be honest. I use Syberia as my daily driver. It's been my trusty custom ROM for a year now, even before I had my F1. Give it a whirl, maybe?

I play a really graphically heavy game and it served as my benchmark for performance. MIUI fails to deliver "performance" in that regard.

I used some custom and none of them ... will never be better than the miui for the Pocophone
