Have you noticed a difference in signal strength between the CN rom and the WW rom?

My device arrived with the WW rom and signal strength on the available bands has been disappointing.

Not as far as I can tell. Signal is the same on both roms.

Hi guys anyone knows how to make Google pay app work? Coz I'm able to install the app but at the part where I key in my card it seems it says that I can't use Google pay with this phone due to its been altered or rooted which I haven't done so. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Oh I'm using the tencent version of the phone with CN rom

I tried the CN ROM, I just can't... It feels so cut back and amateur attempt at android. WW is so much crisper, cleaner and more stock android. I haven't had any payment issues with banking or google pay.

I don't think Google pay will work on the CN rom for the same reason that rom doesn't come with the play store: it isn't Google certified. Even with Magisk, it won't work. The WW rom is Google certified and should work if unmodified with locked bootloader (even on tencent phones) or if bootloader unlocked using Magisk hide

Sorry but can I confirm that this the international rom for the tencent released rog phone 2 in China (8gb ram 128 rom)?

Aaparently someone is selling the China tencent released spec of rog phone 2 and marked it "international version"?
So I was wondering if thats what they did - installed this international rom?

Guys does the ww rom has a better temperature control? Because many people on my country's forum reported that the temperature on ww is much better when playing games. And also does everyone on ww rom experience lag that can be solved through reboot? Thanks.

Is the ROG phone 2 Chinese Tencent 128gb/8gb also UFS 3.0?

My z3 Play managed 110-ish megabytes sequential write and reads, you guys that have the Chinese model please do the write & read test so that we can confirm the Tencent version also has UFS 3.0

It is its 3.0. use androbench here are my results. Sequential write is slower than one plus 7 pro but random write is much faster which is more important in day to day usage

I would advise to wait and buy the Indian version which will come with the WW rom and can receive OTA updates. If you buy the one you are asking about, I am sure you will not be able to get OTA if it comes with the WW rom flashed already. So if you have to and don't want to wait for the Indian model get the phone with its original CN rom at least that way you will be sure that OTA updates work and your warranty will still be intact.

It sounds like it won't unfortunately. My opinion is though hardware is identical, probably need someone to edit modem or something else, like they did with other phones to enable bands. Unfortunately, I don't believe this will happen, due to no real devs owning this phone.
