From what I've read and saw, from week 25 there are no problems with the device, maybe a few devices have this fault.

Mine after 2 months from the ``intervention`` all is looking very well, still no problems.

Mine one is 13w45. So It has the problem after my vacation in Thailand. I did not put it in water. Phone was very hot after talking by skype and viber. I've gave it to sony and I'm waiting now what they will say.

After 10 days in the service, Sony just gave me a brand new Xperia Z- 14W04. Does anyone know if the problem still exists in the newly produced Xperia Z? My first Z was from the first 2013 revisions.

Overall, I’m quite happy with Sony’s response – I’m frоm Bulgaria.

Im not completely sure but my replacement sony sent is a C6602 13W29 and i feel like it us starting to come unglued a little but not too bad yet.

I had the same problema. Fixed by Sony.

My Z is by Sony to fix the mic and backplate. I hope i get it back next week.

what if i bought the phone econd hand so i dont have a receipt? i wont be able to send it to sony will i?

il have to remove and replace the glue myself?

I am having the same problem. Can they return the waterproof function of the xz?
Sadly we have limited support here in the Philippines.

When I had my z I was always having to push the back panel back into place but ever since I gave the phone to my partner it's never come unglued again.

Sony had not repaired my phone after three weeks of service. They gave me back the phone with new display and more other parts, but the back side is not clued evenly. So, now I'm waiting again.

recently acquired this phone and I really worried about how hot it gets on the top left of the back side, that is where the problem? in the bottom of the phone says the date of production and mine says 14W03, they have had problems?

My xz is 14w49...one week of use, never exposed to water and i hope never have that issue. In my country we have bad support service.

Repaired my 13w12 myself, using a "selly's" brand glue in Australia, this glue claims water resistant, heat resistant, flexibility, suitable for plastic glass and other surfaces. I did not modify Springs as others have stated. Holding up well so far. I won't water test until an accidental drop in water...for me that was the reason to buy this phone

hey i've been with this phone about 2 month , i also use this phone for gaming and it heated fast , i felt my back cover is rising a bit,im afraid if it loose , because the repair center here is bad -.-,maybe im going to buy a new back cover and the glue

first of all , good to make a thread like this , i also faced same issue and even water started going inside the phone after aprox 3months of using ,must mention that i put the phone almost every week under the shower(talking) and a few more times filming in swimming pools,so i give it back and first they claimed to repair the back with ordering new back panel . phone was bought in Bulgaria from a company witch headquarters are in Romania, so they had to turn it back to the official service in romania witch is Germanos , after few talks with their manager they change the phone with brAND new , same color , but noticing that the new one witch was brand new , is also little bit raised on the back arounD the camera corners , very very light but stil its more deep in the bottom of the phone than there, thinking to get rid of this XZ while its new and to get the Z2 , shame for Sony to make a hundreds of defect devices. i am happy they give me new , but if i wasnt founD their manager`s number and called perconaly to him i`m sure they would repair and turn it back ,,,shame for sony

The waterproofness in xperia z is really bad idea
.The normal phones without waterproofbess is better because you will not put them in water and the waterproof phones you may put them in water and something go wrong and the water damage you phone

i put my z underwater daily since half a year and no issues.
